Easy Smeezy

I could probably survive with only a microwave, fridge, and coffee pot in the kitchen.

  1. I think I would add a toaster oven to your streamlined kitchen. Oh, and a second microwave.

  4. I DID survive without a microwave, and let us never speak of it again. Sheesh! Raising kids without modern conveniences=insanity. ;)

  5. Back when I grew my own corn, I would eat it straight from the stalk. So flipping amazingly good.

No salt, no butter, no problem.

  8. Hey, Dez, If I had a field of sweet corn, I'm afraid I'd founder.

  12. Hey Julia,
Yeah, sweet corn is pretty high up the food chain in my book.

  13. That's understandable. This was organic heirloom yard-grown. I was reading a book about corn and other veg at the time, and they wrote about how the kids eat the corn straight. I thought, heck, I'll give it a go.

  14. Happy, I was listening to NPR and they were talking about an old fashioned corn that's loaded with protein and taste like butter's already on it, sans anything but a little salt.
