Easy Smeezy

I could probably survive with only a microwave, fridge, and coffee pot in the kitchen.

I think I would add a toaster oven to your streamlined kitchen. Oh, and a second microwave.

Microwave and stove top is all I need

I DID survive without a microwave, and let us never speak of it again. Sheesh! Raising kids without modern conveniences=insanity. ;)

Back when I grew my own corn, I would eat it straight from the stalk. So flipping amazingly good.

No salt, no butter, no problem.

Ah, sweet corn - summer in Iowa=sweet corn.

You're right, CJ. I see I was too hasty with my planning.

Hey, Dez, If I had a field of sweet corn, I'm afraid I'd founder.

Hi Pat, Yup, that's the essentials.

Crystal, We'll have a brief moment of silence for your microwave free period.

Hi Happy, I'm sure it was delish, though I'm not sure I could do without the salt and butter.

Hey Julia,
Yeah, sweet corn is pretty high up the food chain in my book.

That's understandable. This was organic heirloom yard-grown. I was reading a book about corn and other veg at the time, and they wrote about how the kids eat the corn straight. I thought, heck, I'll give it a go.

Happy, I was listening to NPR and they were talking about an old fashioned corn that's loaded with protein and taste like butter's already on it, sans anything but a little salt.
