Garden Critter

Either Walk Sticks are on the up swing in NC this year or this spritely fellow has been hopping all over the yard. This is about the third one I've encountered. Also saw a Copperhead in the road yesterday. Shudder. I much prefer the Walking Stick.

I haven't seen a walking stick for ages. We get a lot of praying mantis. I'd rather have a stick than a snake too!

hope the bugs aren't bigger than cats :)

Preying mantis or a walking stick? Love 'em both. Sorry about the copperhead. That would scare me too.

Hi Shelley, After Julia's question I'm not sure which I've got, mantis or stick, but yeah, much much better than a snake.

Me too, Dez!:)

Julia, I'm not sure....
Yeah, the snake thing makes me very nervous. Invested in lots of 'snake away'. I was out putting it around the house after dark with a flashlight.

Yeah, I think he's a praying mantis. We get them here too. I'll look up and see one stuck on the window and it always freaks me out. Snakes I don't mind so much, though we don't have copperheads here. That would scare me.

He looks very photogenic too

Hi, L.G. Whatever he is, I think he's pretty cute. But the snake nasty. And they are very aggressive.

Hey Pat, I agree. He's got the little stereotypical alien face going.
