Back To It

Okay, boys and girls, for those of us with a day job, we're back to it and couldn't be happier, right? Cough, cough. Choke, choke. Excuse me while I hack up that fur ball. Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration. How about thrilled to have a job until our collective ships come in? And I'm sure said-ships are heading for the dock with plenty in the cargo hold. Some may be a little leaky and water-logged, but they're going to get there. 2014 is going to be a good year for us. I'm sure of it.
This is a day late question, but how was your weekend? Wondrous? Our lovely daughter and significant other were in and she had something sparkly on her left hand. The significant other status has changed to fiance. We're quite pleased to welcome him to the clan. We now have two grandbabies and two engagements in the family. My sister also got engaged over the holidays.
Now what about you? Please don't tell me you did something terribly productive over the weekend. I expect you to play on your weekends.
By the way, you've probably figured the pic has no relevance to the post. Just a Tuesday funny.

Nothing productive here haha I think my ship has so many holes it may never make it to the dock. Congrats to all at your hall

My weekend was NOT productive. I should have taken the tree down. I did not. In fact, it's still up! I guess I wasn't productive on Monday, either.

Ah, but I got some writing done on Monday, and I never do that. That's because it's usually my errand day and it was so flippin' cold outside I refused to leave the house. And once I started writing...well, nothing else got done. Hmmm... Let's see if that tree gets dismantled today.

Thank you, dear Dez.

Hmm, Pat, I think we must have the same craft:)

Hi Stacy. Trees are still up at the Cox house too. Way to go on getting writing done! I worked on my blurb form last night. Does that count?

Tree down. Most of the decorations put away. Furniture still needs to be shifted, but decided to work in my journal instead.

Congrats on your daughter's engagement. Have a good week.

You're ahead of me, CJ. Good job on working on your journal.

Well...it took me almost 20 years, but I managed to finally quit my day job to write full time in 2013...so it can happen. I write freelance non-fiction and fiction, though, so I didn't do it just on my novels alone, unfortunately!
