Hooves In The Neighborhood

Remember my 'deer in the yard' pictures? This is what roams my sister-in-law's neighborhood in Colorado. And there was mention of a bear getting in the trash cans. Got any interesting visitors you'd like to share with the blogster buds?

Fake Out: I was standing on the screened-in porch when a hummer dived bombed straight at me, grumbling for all it was worth. It made a sharp right turn at the last moment, saving it from a collision with the screen. What the? I glanced down and figured out what had attracted him. He'd seen my bright orange/red toenail polish:) The moral of the story....don't go outside barefoot if you've got bright red painted toes.

Oh wow, I so wish to see one of those in the garden. The weirdest thing I find here is cats :)

What a regal visitor! We have an assortment of Rascal Racoons, Pepe Le Pews, and Possy Possums. There is a cougar in the region but I have never seen it

He is magnificent! I've seen turkeys, a coyote, red-tail hawks, cows that kicked their fence and wandered up to my neighbor's front yard, and Sunday, two young deer were feasting on my neighbor's shrubbery.

Hummers tend to buzz me. I think because I wear flower-colored tops.

Sandra, good thing you figured out it was your toe nail polish and not something else!
We have nothing as exciting as the visitor in your picture... however, we have a clan of annoying ground hogs who keep eating our birds' and cats' food! They are nasty little critters who tend to fight with their own little ones over the food.

We don't even get raccoons here. Maybe a rabbit

Sounds like you get lots of wild life in your area too, CJ.

Hi Julia, I would have said because they know you're so sweet.

Hi Gina:) I'll trade you your ground hogs for our squirrels.

Hi Adam, I like rabbits:) Surprisingly, we don't see that many around here.
