Deals Going On and The Case of the Missing Potatoes

~*~
As I've mentioned before, date night consists of going out to eat and grocery shopping. The HH pushes the cart and I flit around looking for things to put in it. I picked up several baking potatoes, dropped them in a cart and went on to my next item. When we got home and unloaded groceries there were no potatoes. I don't know whose cart I put them in, but it wasn't ours.

all those carts DO look alike! perhaps tie a string around the handle next time to tell which cart is yours?

Oops. You are so not alone. And why is it that we get home without things rather than getting home with someone else's produce?

so no baked dindins that evening?

Maybe they're still in the cart?
Funny, your date night sounds like ours. Only we hit the movies and then grocery shopping. Yeah, we're rebels.

Oh, NO, dear Sandra! You remind me of Mrs. Shady. She often comes back from the store without items in the bag that she swears she put into it. She has also been known to leave her purse, glasses and phone in stores. Fortunately her missing items are always turned in to the lost and found department.

Happy Thursday, dear friend Sandra!

There you go. One around the cart and one on my finger;)

That's the question of the ages, EC.

Funny about the potatoes.

Now that's funny! I did that once and kept placing things into a cart thinking it was mine until the kind gentleman told me where my actual cart was-I had many faces of red

Oops! You sure you didn't buy them and leave them at the store? I'd check the receipts to make sure. And it's easy to mistake carts. Too easy.

I wonder if the person who ended up with them noticed before she arrived home? I'm guessing not! My husband doesn't get invited to go to the grocery store with me. He rushes me too much. I just like to take my list and breeze through there without having to answer, "Okay, what's next on the list?" over and over and over.

Unfortunately, no, and they were nice looking potatoes too.....:(

It's the grocery gremlins, Shady.

Good evening, CJ:)

Exactly. That was my intent of course......cough cough

Those darn potatoes. They probably hopped in someone else's cart when I wasn't looking.

LOL. Thanks for making me feel better, Birgit.

Pretty easy for me. That's for sure:)
