Blue Ridge Parkway

We took advantage of the beautiful fall weather this weekend and went into the mountains, ate at Canyons then meandered to the Tanger Outlet.Though not as evocative as Valerie's and EC's, below are pics I snapped with my phone on the drive.

Dina Bushrod won the drawing for the wristlet and charm bracelet.
Congrats, Dina.

    1. It was very pretty. The only time I don't appreciate the mountains is in the winter when it's so stark.

  2. Colors are just starting to turn.
I've been through it but never took the actual Blue Ridge Parkway before. I should sometime since I live so close. (Although not as close as you do!)

  4. Hi, dear Sandra!

Near the top of my bucket list is a trip along the breathtaking BRP. I'm happy to see that you had delightful fall weather for your drive to the mountains over the weekend. I have lived in Florida since 1984 and don't see the colorful autumn leaves very often.

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Sandra!

  5. SO beautiful! I wanted to make it to the Smokies this year to take in the fall beauty in the mountains but my husband had a Vegas business trip planned...so I'm stuck in Nashville! It's pretty here, but there's nothing like the mountains in the fall.

    1. Indeed it is. I'm going to have to invest in a CD with wood flute and dulcimer music to play as we drive through.
