Look See and The Martian

Happy Monday. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

For all my animal loving friends out there, this is definitely worth a look see.

The hh and I went to see The Martian. I had low expectations because this isn't the type of movie I normally enjoy. Whether it was low expectations or Matt Damon, I loved it. Believed dead,  Astronaut Mark Watney is left on Mars by his crew. His intelligence and strong sense of humor help him survive.Though not fast paced, it's a gripping story.
A definite thumbs up.

  5. We loved The Martian. The only disappointing thing for us was seeing it in 3D. Turned out 3D was a bit underwhelming. Loved the story though

  6. Hi, dear Sandra!

I was very touched by the story of the donkey and the wolf. Thank you for the link! I totally agree that:

<< friendship knows no bounds of species >>

Mrs. Shady and I would surely enjoy The Martian. We both like Damon and Jeff Daniels and movies about space exploration. A recent episode of one of our favorite TV series, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., had to do with surviving on an inhospitable planet nearly devoid of sunshine. The trailer for The Martian sells it to me. I love adventure mixed with humor.

Thank you again for being such a great friend and making my birthday weekend that much happier. Have a wonderful week, Sandra!

    1. The wolf apparently needed a friend more than he needed dinner.

  10. I have never liked Matt Damon and I can't explain why. It bugs me that I just don't like him! He just seems so...bland.
