No One Responds As Expected

Good morning, Blogster Buds. While I love this picture, I'm happy to say the weather is temperate and there's none of that pretty white stuff on the ground.

I had an extremely strange day awhile back. The stars were definitely not aligned. We've been remodeling. One of the workers, while his work is extremely good, lost all points when he yelled at one of my cats.  Really? Disrespect my cats, disrespect me. Obviously not a cat person.  And then....we went out to eat and I asked for biscuits. The waitress's reply: She didn't know whether she could bring any or not. She was awfully busy. I had to laugh. It was such an odd response. Have you had any days lately, where no one responds as expected?

Most days are like that for me Sandra....that is if I see anyone at all. I live in a neighbourhood who has forgotten how to speak to people and should you speak to them get totally ignored.
Have a nice day.
Yvonne.

Yelled at your cat? That is (almost) a hanging offence.
The biscuit response is just plain weird.

People are sometimes funny. I rang the house admin here because my door bell was not working, and they promised to send an Electrician. I also gave them my tel. no so that he could contact me. Then I got an irate call from the electrician, telling me he had been ringing my bell for 10 minutes and I hadn't answered....well, in the end he did repair the bell! Hugs, Valerie

what did the cat do? I usually say HELLO to the neighbour's dog each morning LOL and I ask him how he feels :)

nopenopenope, yelling at cats deserves a hanging punishment.

then poor customer service at the restaurant; biscuits can't WALK to your table.

people are strange...

I've recently been offering free publicity to attractions in a certain part of the country and they're really not interested. It's not like I want anything in return, just need info. Strange.

Hi, dear Sandra!

Both of those stories surprise me. No one should come into your house and disrespect you or your animals. Too many sales reps, retail store clerks and restaurant servers forget that "the customer is always right." Mrs Shady and I went out to dinner two days ago and our waitress brought me the wrong beverage, forgot Mrs. Shady's muffin and then vanished. We needed to call out to a different server as she walked by and ask for the muffin. We eventually spotted our waitress sitting at a table gabbing with co-workers instead of being attentive to our needs. When we were finished eating she made us wait a considerable amount of time before bringing our check. I realize that servers don't make a lot of money but we always tip generously and ours did not make much of an effort to earn her tip.

Oh no! How could anyone yell at a cat? Hopefully, he knows better than to make that same mistake again. As for the biscuits that's pretty shocking for a server in a restaurant. Obviously she wasn't too concerned about her tip :) Happy Thursday!

Sadly, customer service is now an oxymoron

That's too bad, Yvonne. I'm sorry to hear that.

The biscuits was almost funny. She may have chosen the wrong profession. Grin. But the cat thing was upsetting. He's skittish anyway. It took him a few days to settle down.

I had a worker that was upset because I wasn't answering the door.....he was at the wrong house.

Good for you, Dez.
The cat took off and hid.

Did you get your water gun out and spray him? He deserved that much for yelling at your cat. I hope you didn't leave a tip for the waitress-jeez she needs to know how to leave her bad day at home when she works with the public. I have not had a strange day like that in a while. I have had people who were rude and all but nothing wonky

Sandra Cox said...

I don't get how anyone would go into someone else's home and act that way.
Walk to the table. Ha!

Sandra Cox said...

Yikes. Who walks away from free pub?

"You may be too busy to bring me biscuits? Well, I may be too busy to give you a tip." I'm pretty forgiving but when a server is just rude about things, I draw the line!

Sandra Cox said...

Hmm, do you think our waitresses are cousins?:)

Sandra Cox said...

Hey Mae;) You know up until that happened, I liked him and he did exceptionally good work, but unless there's a redo, I don't want anyone in my home that reacts to cats like that.
I think the waitress is in the wrong line of work:)

Sandra Cox said...

Isn't that the truth. I can't imagine going into someone's home and reacting like that to their pets.

Sandra Cox said...

Did you mean before or after the man yelling? Before he yelled, the cat hadn't done anything.

Sandra Cox said...

Unfortunately. When you do run across someone that gives good customer service, it's like 'Oh Wow'.

Sandra Cox said...

Birgit, I'm sorry you've had rude but I'm glad you haven't had wonky:)

Sandra Cox said...

Isn't that the strangest thing?
I couldn't quite bring myself to go cold turkey on the tip, but it was half of what she normally would have got.
