Monday

Saw the babies this weekend.  The whole family had sinus infections. The boy had stopped at Urgent Care, on the way to hook up with us, to get something for his.  Yes, I am popping Vitamin C every couple of hours after the visit. There was a price for all those wonderful hugs. What about you? What did you do this weekend, blogster buds? Anything going on in your world?

  4. What a beautiful bird. Hope your supply of Vitamin C doesn't wear out.

I actually had a good weekend, because I was able to finally get back online after a miserable five days of computer woes. It feels so good to be back, too.

    1. I'm glad you're up and running again, Elizabeth. Having computer issues can be the pits. Mine was a bit snarky this weekend, but I'm hoping the problems are all ironed out!

  8. Hi Sandra!

I'm terribly sorry to learn that your loved ones have sinus infections. I wish them a speedy and complete recovery and I hope that you don't fall ill. Seems I always get sick soon after hugging babies and small children. Mrs. Shady has been sick for a week. In her job at the hospital she is constantly exposed to people coming in off the streets with illnesses and she occasionally picks up a bug. I have been sneezing for the last 24 hours, too.

As a preventive measure you might consider doing what I do. First thing every morning I slice up a whole lemon and squeeze the wedges into a glass of water and drink it. I believe it is good for what ails you.

Happy Monday and stay well, dear friend Sandra!

    1. Hi Shady. Sorry to hear about Mrs. S. Hope she is on the mend and better soon.
Lemon water has all sorts of wonderful benefits. My understanding is, it's also good for preventing kidney stones.

  10. One good thing about being a retired teacher, I don't get many colds. You build up an immunity those first couple of years. With the temperature changing so much, sinus infections are a problem. I hope the grands get better soon and you miss the cold.

  13. Sinus infections are nasty so I hope they all get better soon. It sounds like you still had a nice time so that's good. I have been trying to figure out how to download pics onto my blog from my new IPad. I did the usual stuff but ended the weekend watching the Oscars

  16. Hope everyone is feeling better, especially the little one. I went through two sinus infections in December and January and replaced them with back problems in February. Ugh! Maybe spring will usher in a whole new realm of sparkling health, LOL.

Happy Monday and Happy Leap Day!
