A-Z: Unusual-Looking Cats and Ukrainian Levkoy

Truly, there is no such thing as an ugly cat. But some are so unusual-looking they're down right cute.

Well, I must admit I prefer normal, cuddly cats, these all look a bit daunting! Have a good start in the week, hugs, Valerie

I like my cats with fur, thanks. Poor thing look like drowned rats.

So many interesting varieties.

However, I won't be shaving my two anytime soon...I think they'd kick up a fuss if I tried! ;)

The Ukrainian cat has almost dog-like features, especially around the head and ears.

Hi, dear Sandra!

I like to think there is no ugly creature in the whole world because every living thing is designed and engineered for a specific purpose. These kitties are indeed cute including the hairless Ukranian in the video. He has a soft, endearing meow.

Happy Monday, dear friend Sandra!

I prefer fluffy cats.

I'd rather have them with fur, just seems weird without it. But sure I'd get used to it.

I'm sure they're nice animals but I'll give that one a pass!

I guess if shedding drove you batty enough, this would be the cat for you.

Thank you, Val. I'll take those wishes for a good start to the week and wish you the same.
Hugs

unusual indeed - I wonder what other cats think of the hairless variety.
Im blogging from Fill the cracks and Moondustwriter's Blog. Happy A to Zing!

Seems like they could get cold awfully easy.

Sandra Cox said...

Oh yeah:)
I'd get lion cuts in the summer for my long hairs and my himmie would complain for days:)
Though, the hairless variety don't have that option:(

Unusual, but practical I guess, not so much shedding there.

Love and hugs

Hi Diane,
Good eye. I missed that. He walks rather like a dog too.

Sandra Cox said...

Agreed, Shady!
And a happy Monday to you!

Sandra Cox said...

Understood:)

Sandra Cox said...

I feel the same, Pat:)

Sandra Cox said...

I'm sure they are, Jeanie:) They're just...unusual:)

Sandra Cox said...

Hi Tamara,
Nothing to shed there is there:)

Good point. It would be interesting to see their reaction.

Sandra Cox said...

Yes, unusual and shedding wouldn't be an issue:)

Truly unusual. Not at all cuddly looking, but neither are some humans. :)

It's funny that often some of the dogs and cats that are called "ugliest" are just hairless...that's all. Some of them are beautiful merely because of their uniqueness, I think!

These certainly were unusual but nevertheless loveable.

Sandra Cox said...

I've never seen any of the above but I'd love to!
Sorry you can't see the trailer:(

Sandra Cox said...

Ha about the humans! Boy is that the truth!

Sandra Cox said...

Well said, Steph! I completely agree.

Sandra Cox said...

Exactly, Yvonne, unusual but loveable.

I was just reading a blog where the lady found a kitten in the street and tried to find the owner. Her own cat isn't friendly, so after a full day of trying to find a home for this kitten, she had to give it up to PAWS. And to think, this was an adorable kitten.

I'm surprised at how the ugly ones are actually more loved than the beautiful cuddly ones. Of course, I have a soft spot for ALL cats, so I have to stay away from pet stores and humane societies. Even the ugly ones are beautiful to me. And the ones you showed are truly adorable!

The minskin is cute :) I do prefer fur on my cats, but the hairless would be great for those with cat hair allergies.

Cats, Alex? :p

Sandra Cox said...

All kitties are beautiful. Cats usually take awhile to warm up to kittens. A day doesn't normally cut it. Though I had a male that was quite the nurturer.
Hope your bday was wondrous!

Sandra Cox said...

It seems like that would be the case, but my understanding is the allergies are from the dander, so...if they don't have any dander...due to not having any hair...that would work:) I think the minskin is cute too:)

That pussy cat...was it designed that way to be hairless or natural...or a product of a nuclear fall out?? :) Sorry but, you know, are they affectionate? Every animal deserves love and they can't help they have no fur. If it is ever cold, they need a sweater for warmth I am thinking

Sandra Cox said...

Yes, they do serve love, Birgit and yeah, I don't see them doing that well in Canada...
