  1. I'm not superstitious, fingers crossed that it will be a good day!
Managed to get an appt at the Doc's today because people mostly refuse them on Friday 13th - that was my luck! So, stay safe, don't walk under ladders, keep calm, and remember - shit can always happen! Hugs, Valerie

  8. Hi, Sandra!

Thanks for reminding me, dear friend, but it might be too late. I just spilled salt and broke a mirror while walking under an open ladder! :)

Have a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Sandra!

  12. Whilst not without my superstitions, Friday 13th isn't one of them. I did however have to go under a ladder yesterday and am still awaiting the repercussions.

  14. Friday 13th !!!
What a stupid joke of yore.
No bloody black cats seen, the sun rose in the
southern hemisphere and set at the usual time.
All is well below the Equator and on the western side
    of the International Date line.

  17. Hope your Friday was a good one. I was late to work(travelled to the satellite office) and ran into the bridge being up, 2 construction sites and the cops stopping cars when exiting the freeway....ughh. Home now and enjoying everything.

  25. Time Aust/USA

Present time in Dallas, Tx is 8.50 pm Saturday 14th.
Time here (Pacific side): It is 11.50 am Sunday 15th.
The Pacific side includes Tasmania (where Margaret lives), Victoria, NSW and Qld.
I guess Aussies are better with time zones World Wide as
per head of Population we are the most travelled people in the World - so far away from anywhere, except really Bali (Indonesia), NZ and even Fiji is 4 hours flying time away.
It is estimated at any time of the year at least 500,000
Australians are overseas on holidays! From a population of 24 million that is a lot in any person's language.
Trust this clarifies the time difference for you.
    Cheers
    Colin

    1. This may explain it better in terms of flying - Australia/USA.
Depart BNE 10.00 am Sunday - arrive LAX 6.00 am Sunday - both dates the 15th. So you gain a full day and 4 hours. Flying time is 13 hours direct.

Depart LAX 11.20 pm (Qantas Fl#16) Sunday and arrive in BNE at 6.10 am Tuesday - 17th. Lose one full day.
All US flights ex: LAX or SFO leave the US between 10.00 pm and midnight - those airlines are Qantas, Virgin Australia, Delta, United and American Airlines - all daily - some, two flights each by Qantas and United to Sydney and Melbourne.
Flying time LAX to BNE is 13 hours 55 minutes - longer but sometimes with tail winds faster and with head winds slower.
I have made 8 trans Pacific flights - back to the Boeing 707's which landed in HNL - that made a far longer flight and customs formalities were then carried out in HNL (Hawaii).
