The Lost Colony of the Bird World. Beauty and The Beast. And More.

I haven't seen the bluebirds in days so I had the HH check the nest.  It's empty. Either they managed  solo flights while I wasn't looking or it's the lost colony of the bird world.

Heads up on Independence Day Resurgence. This may not be one that you like but  I loved it.  All kinds of action.  I went into it with no expectations and, as often happens, really enjoyed it.

After watching Resurgence, we rented The Finest Hours. The HH thought it was slow in parts, but I enjoyed it. And the fact that it's a true story added to my appreciation.
I'm a Chris Pine fan. I think he's a great actor, whether as cocky Captain Kirk or in this case a humble hero.

This is another movie I can't wait to see.

Good-bye, June.

I'm all for dumb popcorn films, but Resurgence just didn't do it for me. And I enjoyed the first one so much.
I do want to see The Finest Hours.

I like Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, too. Not sure if we'll make it to see Resurgence.

They do leave the nest quickly. It is amazing.

The bluebird nest was empty and clean, no eggs, no clutter.....and now they're back, very weird.

I can't wait for B and B either!

I really like Chris Pine in Star Trek; I bet the Finest Hours is great--looks chillingly good from the trailer. And how fun about the live movie version of B & the B! Happy Fourth of July to you!!

Hi Alex,
I was ambivalent about the first one, so again, no expectations on the second and I think that's why I enjoyed it. Sorry you didn't:(

I can't wait till next month when Star Trek comes out!

Watson would have never been my first choice for Belle.

Dan Stevens was a good choice for the prince-turned-beast. I think a lot of women are going to get a little crazy when they see him as a human. He was Matthew Crawley on Downton Abbey, someone who was just as sophisticated as he was handsome. But I don't think he's had a role that every American knows him as yet. Everyone remembers Emma Watson as Hermonie Granger in Harry Potter

Hopefully, Pat. I'm beginning to wonder if they even laid any eggs. Maybe they just rented the digs and have no plans to start another family quite yet. grin.

PS I have no idea what the economy is like in the bird world:)

Hi Carol. Oh I agree, Chris Pine is wonderful in Star Trek. He plays a different roll in Finest Hours and did a great job. Can't wait for B and B.
And a happy 4th to you:)

Oh man, they just free fall don't they?

We'll just have to see how she does.
I'm not familiar with Dan Stevens.
Really looking forward to the movie.

I'm looking forward to Beauty and the Beast, as well. It'll be interesting to see how Disney brings this to life in live-action form!

Getting here late proved to be a good thing, since I learned the bluebirds are back. I've heard lots of good things about The Finest Hours, so it sounds like a great movie. Happy July, so long June.

Ok...I thought the first movie was silly so not holding much to the 2nd one but it's always good to go in without any preconceived notions. I love Beauty and The Beast...one of my favourite fairy tales so this looks really good. If you want to see the best version it is a foreign French film made in 1944 I believe. It is beyond beautiful....you check it out on youtube
