Cardinal Babies. Chickens?

Cardinal Babies
Daddy keeping an eye out
One of the neighbor's chickens
And....I think there's mockingbird babies on the other side of the fence the way I was getting yelled at yesterday.

I can see why the birds are called cardinals.

I have a cardinal pair, but don't know where they built the nest. It's somewhere in the woods. I don't often see them, but hear them singing.

Those bird babies are sooooooooo gorgeous! We don't get cardinals here what a pity. Okay, we get lots of other pretty birds! Hugs, Valerie

Well your place is just going to the birds

When birds are still babies, I can't tell! I just call them baby birds :)

The babies are always a bit ugly and show their dinosaur roots but they turn into such beautiful little birds...unless they are vultures:) What is an exception are the chicks...so cute that usually become dinner for us later on. Oops I went macabre there

Little ugly ducklings that grow into beautiful swans, er birds.

They do look different, don't they?

When we lived out in the country we never saw the nests either, too many trees:) There's probably all kinds of baby birds there.

Lots of babies all around, I enjoy watching them grow.I sat yesterday just listening to the forest families around me.

They keep them well hidden don't they? I never did see the nest just saw the little baby fledglings in the yard.

Thanks, Yvonne! Heading your way:)

They sure are. Where I previously lived we had about 2 dozen and they were so beautiful in the winter against the snow. Of course, you have all kinds of beauties at your place:)

Oh, they are WONDERFUL. I am sad that I'm quite sure I have or will miss my wren's babies learning to fly. Lucky you to have photos and all!
