Yes, It's Monday

Did all the moms out there have a great Mother's Day?
It was a good one here.  I got to see the Grands Saturday and then the HH and I went to a winery for Lunner (Lunch/Dinner) Sunday. They had a special buffet that was amazing. There were four serving tables set up in two rooms: breakfast, appetizers, dinner and dessert.
The HH got the bill and his eyes crossed, though there were a couple of bottle of wines we purchased to take home on it. We topped off the afternoon with a trip to Lowes and the purchase of a sunflower plant. Then back to the world of everyday and laundry.
How did you celebrate your day?

  1. Glad you had such a great day, sounds like fun. I had a quiet day, my daughter has long forgotten that I exist. Have a great week, it's my last week at the clinic. Hugs, Valerie

  2. I am glad you spent such a lovely day.
Since I am not a mother, and neither the fur nor the birds recognise the day, we had a quiet one. Which was pleasant just the same.

  3. Sounds like your day was far better than mine. I spent the day with three children (the ones who just lost their mother) and we reminisced about the good times before the cancer set in. I think it was good for the children, but not so good for me.

I'm glad you had a lovely day. It sounds like you had a fun weekend and was surrounded by those who love you.

  4. Sounds as if you had a great Mother's Day.
I spent the morning at eldest son's house, his wife cooked morning tea or made it - rather a large gathering of mother's there.
Afternoon youngest son came with his wife and children x 3 so had a wonderful day.

  5. Hello Sandra, it sounds as though you had a lovely Mother’s Day, those bills do tend to make ones eyes cross – but it was a special day so worth it.
Mother’s Day comes earlier in the year in the UK, so I did my celebrating a while ago.
    Have a good week. x

  6. Sounds like a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! One of my sons came with Chinese food. The others called. Despite no sleep, it was a pretty good day. I did fall asleep for a moment and got laughed at. :-) Was a banner day. :-)

  7. Lunch at a winery sounds like a good time.
We Facetimed with my parents since they live out of state. The rest was a normal Sunday.

I made a card for my mom and then my brother and I visited my mom and she was quite happy about this. After, I went with my brother for a walk which was nice to do!

  19. Crossed eyes! I love it! And it sounds just wonderful being with your peeps. It was just me and Rick this time but that was OK -- a visit to the garden store and only two meltdowns. I can work with that!
