Vegetarian Protein And Wonder Woman

Do you use this product?

I just recently discovered it and love it. It has from 23 to 27 grams of protein and can be used in a hot dish or cold.  I toss in a couple of different cheeses, some veggies and put it on my salads.

What do you do for protein?
~*~

On a different topic we went to see Wonder Woman this weekend.  I was hesitant to because I didn't care for Batman VS Superman where she's first introduced. Then I saw Alex Cavanaugh's review and decided to give it a go.  I'm so glad I did.  On a one to five I'd give it a six.  It's a great action flick. And talk about a feminist super hero:)  Coming from an Amazon society, she just doesn't get the it's a man's world thing. Spoiler alert: If you're a Chris Pine fan there's a sad scene. Still highly recommended.
Thanks, Alex.

Oh, I like my protein as beans that taste like beans and beef that tastes like steak. :-)

First time I've seen a preview of Wonder Women - the actress doesn't look American though, what nationality is she I wonder!
The preview does look inviting.

I get my protein from a variety of places, chickpeas, beans, tofu, cheese. I haven't tried tofurkey or even investigated whether we have it.
I suspect I won't watch Wonder Woman - but am glad you (and Alex) enjoyed it.

Loved the post, I've only seen Wonder Woman on TV many years ago.....how times and Wonder Woman have changed.

We have similar vegetarian 'meats' here, and much to my surprise, they are all good. I eat lots of yogurt, fish and quark for protein. Hugs, Valerie

My protein comes from meat but I don't mind tofu as a substitute in certain dishes. I don't think I would enjoy the movie and although I did not know who Chris Pine is, after checking, I think I would enjoy him.

Told you it was awesome! And the director has signed on to do the second one, so expect more awesomeness.

I've never heard of the vegetarian chicken before, but it looks like something I might enjoy.

So glad you enjoyed Wonder Woman. Sounds like a good flick.

So, it tastes like chicken? (-; Havent seen Wonder Women. Wasn't sure if I wanted to, but I've been hearing good things about it. Maybe I can convince Himself to go.

I can't claim to like vegetarian meat...however I do love me some slow roasted chicken. It's fantastic, easy food.

As for Wonder Woman, I'm right there with you. Huge fan of the DC comics. Despise the movies. Loved the TV series. And found the WW movie to be utterly amazing!

Peanut butter! Walnuts. My husband used to be a collective member of Moosewood, a veggie restaurant in NYS. Getting some protein in to the meals they served was always on their minds. Nuts, cheese, seitan, tofu, beans. I loved Wonder Woman.

It's probably going to be rare exception in the new DC movie universe. Think JL will end up having the same problems as BvS

You're superwoman Sandra. So proud of you for trying to help the planet and yourself. Never tried it, but I did try something at whole foods called seitan. The ground kind can be used like ground beef and tastes however you want it too. Unfortunately, mine remained in the fridge too long. I didn't eat red meat for five years because of the way they treat the animals.

Good choices. I use them too.
Have a great one, EC:)

I haven't tried that chicken but I don't even know I can get that in Canada. As for Wonder Woman...I have heard nothing but good things all around blogland and she is one kick ass woman and I don't just mean Eonder Woman but the actress herself who had to be in the special forces in her country. She knows truly how to kick ass!

The TV version was one of my favorites at the time:)

I've never had quark. I'll have to try it.

I love Chris Pine. On film, he comes across as the boy next door, at least to me.

Sandra Cox said...

And you were right:) Hope the 2nd is as good as the first.

Hi Elizabeth,
It's got a nice flavor. I added some to my vegetable soup last night.
WW is definitely a thumbs up:)
YOU, have a great one.

If you go, let us know what you think, Steve.

You've discovered one of my food groups! Actually, Quorn makes the very best veggie chicken. Find it in "bites" or "breasts" in the frozen section.

Well, since I'm not a vegetarian, I am a meat/chicken/nuts/cheese girl (although the cheese probably is more fat than protein!) But it's good to know about.

Sandra Cox said...

Lets hope they keep it together.

Sandra Cox said...

Indeed it does:)
WW is amazing. Let me know if you go and if you like it.

That's fascinating about your husband being a collective member of a veggie restaurant.
No veggie restaurants here (sigh) unless you go to Asheville. My daughter and her HH are also vegetarians and live in Philly where there's all sorts of Vegetarian Restaurants. I love seitan!

Sandra Cox said...

Wasn't it great?
How are you feeling?

Sandra Cox said...

Sigh. I hope not.

Sandra Cox said...

I love seitan.
And good for you for giving up red meat for five years because of inhumane treatment of animals.

Sandra Cox said...

I'm with you, Birgit. She's amazing.

nuts, sunflower seeds, peanut butter...try morning star; they have awesome products with the exception of the sausage links...way toooooooo "soy" tasting...I do eat cheese though; colby jack is an addiction !!!! ♥

Sandra Cox said...

I've had the breasts. They're good.

Sandra Cox said...

I do cheese and nuts too:)

Sandra Cox said...

Yeah, Morning Star is good. I like their veggie burgers.
I used to eat colby jack all the time and the HH still does. I've been seduced by white cheddar;)

Thanks Sandra. The lady looks gorgeous.

That looks good with what you made Sandra! I am a chicken or tuna girl. Not that fussy. I really want to see the Wonder Woman movie! Thanks for the review! Big Hugs!

Being a meat, fish, poultry, dairy, nuts and loads of vegetables sort of person, (but the LCHF template) I haven't tried it but your dish looks good!

All the best Jan
