What a remarkable tale (tail?). I've seen pit bulls that have been the most gentle animals in the world. They often get a bad rep. So glad this woman shared her dog's tale with us. Gotta LOVE men who want revenge on their (ex)wives.

I'm going to see fireworks on Tuesday night. They've been going off in my neighborhood since Friday, so I'm not missing much here. Happy holiday.

Hooray for Blitz. And shame that it took a much reviled dog breed to step in and save that poor woman.
Enjoy the fireworks.

Good for that dog who helped the woman, and shame on the man who treated his wife so badly. Hugs, Valerie

Hi Sandra - amazing story ... and I'm so pleased Blitz was able to help the woman ... as you say turns the tables for us. Cheers Hilary

That's quite a story. The city of Worcester for some odd reason decided to hold their fireworks display on Friday. So we watched the fireworks from my brother's back deck. Tomorrow night, we'll watch the fireworks display from Boston on television.

Great he was able to help. Pitbulls sure can get a bad rap.

I agree with those who say pit bulls get a bad rap. This one deserves anything but a bad rap.

This just confirms that it is not the dog( for the most part) but the owner that can create a nasty dog. I'm just glad the dog did something that none of the neighbours had the guts to do

I've got to believe environment plays a role. The stories about them are of either saviors or grim reapers.
Glad you're enjoying the fireworks:)

Dogs are man's best friend, just depends on which person

I'm with Brigit. Any dog can be vicious if it's encouraged or provoked in that direction. This was a good story to share. Thanks, Sandra.

Agreed. What's wrong with people?

For sure, Val.

I've met quite a few pit bulls. They've all been good dogs. The problems arise when bad owners teach the dogs to be nasty, but that can happen with other breeds, too.

Love,
Janie

For sure, Jamie.
