I'm Back

I'm back home.  The surgery was a success, which was a huge relief. He came through it with flying colors. Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts, prayers and positive energy that you sent our way.

While the surgery was going on, we took care of his sister and the critters. On one of our outings, this is what we saw:

Did anyone else see it?  This picture really doesn't do it justice. It was like a chunk of the rainbow or a piece of a prism. I've never seen anything like it. Has anyone else?

We also took 'Ariel' Trick R Treating which was a hoot.  The whole neighborhood was definitely in Halloween mode. It was like a big block party. There were many witches and goblins, standing on elaborately tricked out porches in the middle of spookily decorated yards, handing out candy. Trick or Treating Families abounded. One family was dressed as the Adams' Family. Someone had a Golden Retriever dressed as a lion with them.  Everyone was enjoying themselves from babies to grandparents.
Pixabay. Not a neighborhood shot.

But enough about my corner of the world.  What have you been doing, friends, while I've been gone?

A VERY belated

To Andrew

That's all folks.

SO glad you are back and what great news that the surgery was a success. I'm really pleased for you. Too bad you didn't get any photos of how others celebrated Halloween, but I suspect some may have felt a bit intimidated.

Nope, I've never seen a prism like that. Thanks for sharing it with us, though.

Happy birthday to the birthday peeps and happy new arrival.

I am thrilled that the surgery was a success - and would have loved to see a Golden Retriever as a lion.
Happy birthday to those you featured and congrats to Crystal.

Hi Sandra - glad the surgery was a success and I'm sure you helped hugely giving the family relief from worry about general living. Glad you enjoyed the Halloween ... and yes that cloud formation is interesting with its rainbow prism. Have a good week - cheers Hilary

Glad the surgery went well! And that photo is beautiful. Can only imagine how much more amazing that rainbow looked in person! Also, a neighborhood going into Halloween mode sounds like so much fun. (You would have no idea it's Halloween in my own neighborhood, sadly; no trick-or-treaters or anything...)

That is such good news Sandra. I’m so pleased all went well.
I’ve never seen a sky quite like that one. It looks beautiful.
Happy birthday to those you mention and congratulations to Crystal.

Welcome home! So glad things went well and now onto a speedy recovery for your grandson. Sounds like Halloween was a fun celebration where you were. Very quiet here. No trick or treaters. the problem with living in a rural area with no sidewalks or safe lighting.

Wonderful you are home and everything went well.

We don't get trick or treaters anymore. Ours used to be the neighborhood everyone came to, but not anymore.

Good to hear all went well. I like the outdoor idea for tricksters, a neighbor does a spook house in their yard and garage every year

Glad to hear the surgery went well. We had only a few trick-or-treaters at my house. Congrats to Crystal.

Happy Dance!! I am so happy the surgery went well!!! I have never seen what you took a picture of in the sky before! It is truly amazing! Like a gift for you to only see! What a beautiful, priceless site!!
Glad you had a great Halloween! Sounds like a lot of fun!!
Happy Birthday everyone and Congrats to Crystal for her new little one!
Big Hugs Sandra!
(Thank you for the comment about the Christmas cards! It's to find a good place, that's not to expensive, but still looks good. The places I like, the cards would almost be $2.00 a piece, if not a little more. I think that's a lot. We will see! Thanks again for your kind comments!)

So happy that he came through with flying colours. Taking out your little granddaughter must have been fun to let loose with the anxiety of what your grandson had to go through. My mom is doing well! She is one strong lady. We only had 35 kids...we used to have 130! I had to work late so I didn't do anything for Halloween so I am glad to hear that your area was so much fun. Hope your week ahead will be a relaxing one

The piece of rainbow truly was amazing.
Sorry you aren't getting trick r treaters:( It was amazing in their neighborhood. Bowls of candy out on the porches, spooky music playing, orange lights, spooky decorations and everyone out in droves.
