First Tulip of Spring

First tulip of spring at the Cox household
AND....
The hostas are up.

AND...
When I trimmed back the roses this fall, I didn't bother to pick up what I'd cut off.  Awhile back, I noticed the cuttings were green and leafy, so I stuck this one in the ground. He definitely is a tenacious little fellow and had a different idea about his next cycle of life than I did..

This and That's

THIS...
I couldn't find Strawberry Balsamic dressing, tried THIS and found I like it even better. Have you ever used it?
AND...
Faux got her spring cut.  She's reached the stage where she doesn't groom anymore and her fur gets oily and matted. She looks, and acts, like she feels much better.
Once the cold weather hit, she moved inside and wouldn't set her dainty paws out until the weather warmed.  Now we can't get her back in.
THAT'S....
all folks.

This and That

THIS....
Belle taking advantage of a sunny day.
AND...
I glanced over at the Forsythia bush next to Belle and saw Franky lying in the middle of it. Of course, by the time I got the camera he'd hopped out. Belle kindly stayed in place.
THAT...
The critters...at least three of them.
THAT Cont....
I have some really exciting, non-writing related, news that I can't wait to share as soon as the official announcement is made.

It's Monday

AND....

My favorite dressing for years and years was Ranch.  Then I started adding fruit to my salad and wanted something a little sweeter. I discovered Strawberry Balsamic and now I'm hooked. Have you ever tried it? For those that count calories it's only 40 calories per two tablespoon..

What's your favorite dressing? Or are you like the HH who doesn't use dressing?

IWSG Wednesday

The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Members post about their doubts and fears, discuss struggles and triumphs, and offer words of encouragement to others who are struggling. And as always, a thank you to Alex Cavanaugh for caring enough to form this group and the folks that help maintain it.
I was asked a question the other day that shot my eyebrows up and would have had me reaching for oxygen if there had been any handy. " Besides writing, do you read?" This was a bud that asked and in fairness it was probably a rhetorical question that was just to introduce an author this person liked.  But it took me by surprise. For most writers, we practically come out of the womb with a book in our hand. I'm convinced that's why labor is so painful. Ha. Reading is like breathing and eating, it's necessary to sustain life. I can't imagine, and seriously doubt if such a creature exists, as an author that doesn't read. Have you ever been asked this question?
