Monday-Tuesday

I'm going to tentatively start blogging Tuesday-Friday instead of Monday-Friday and see how it goes on the Richter Scale of Productivity using Monday as my
AND....
I was at the eye doctor Thursday, (the 'Eyes Have It':) for some minor inhouse eye surgery. I was looking for a place to set and a woman motioned to a free seat beside her.  The woman across from us asked if we were sisters and said we looked alike. We both had short hair and the same body build, but from there....We got to chatting about rescue and, of course, cats. Heh. She had just had to put her twenty-one year old cat down. She mentioned that for the past couple of years, she (the cat) hadn't left the bedroom, so she kept the TV on and had doggy steps put up to the bed:)
We chatted for quite awhile then they called me back.  As I was leaving she said, "What is your first name?" I said, "Sandra. What is yours?"
She said, "Sandra."

  1. It sounds as if you found a kindred spirit. A soul sister.
And blog whenever suits. Your Monday to Friday schedule is a big ask. Even Tuesday to Friday fills me with awe.

  3. Minor inhouse eye surgery? That would be plucking out an ingrowing eyelash as far as I am concerned. A good writer leaves the punchline to last, and you did.

  4. Quite the story. Was it fate or coincidence?

I hope your ketchup days are productive each week. I tend to procrastinate when I have some spare time. But I'm sure that's just me, and not you.

  5. Wow! I hope all went with the surgery. Stories like this always fascinate me because I think we meet everyone in life for a reason. The lady who thought you guys were sisters got the ball rolling, and the farewell is something we see on Hallmark Channel movies and I love it! The ketchup days make perfect sense to me too! Happy Monday and Hugs...RO

    1. The surgery went fine. Thanks, Ro.
Meeting this woman was amazing. She also brought me up to date on the improvements of the animal shelter in this county which relieved me considerably.
Happy Tuesday. Hugs received and returned.

  14. Hmmmmm . . . fraternal twins separated at birth and somehow given the same name. Love of cats in the genes. I'm amazed when I see such elderly cats. They're so fragile and beautiful.

    Love,

Sorry to hear you needed to go through eye surgery, minor or not. That's great how you met someone nice to chat with, though. Amazing how you two both shared the same name, and a love of cats, too!

  19. If 4 days will help then I agree as you need to to think about yourself first. I hope your eyes will be better and that you are not in too much pain. As for the lady sitting next to you...wowzers! I would be curious to see if you are somehow related to her. That is so cool.

  20. Thank you, Birgit. I appreciate the support.
Eyes are good. Again, thank you.
Wowzers indeed. About being related. Heh. I always wondered if the stork dropped me at the wrong house:)

  21. Sandra, blog when you can. I find it hard to blog once a week now! LOL! I don't know how some people blog everyday. You keep a busy schedule girl! That is such a touching story with your kindred spirit "Sandra"! I'm sorry about your surgery! I hope you're doing well! Big Hugs!
