Monday-Tuesday

How was your weekend, blogger buds? I trust it was relaxing, productive and fun. We finally got to celebrate Christmas, and their birthdays, with the kiddos. So, of course, ours was good:)
AND....
Last week, I received not one but two lovely surprises in the mail.
A Christmas card from our blogger bud and calligrapher extraordinaire, CJ Kennedy. My photo doesn't do it justice.
Verse Inside
Is this not purrfect? Thank you so much, CJ. I love it.

Bleubeard and Elizabeth sent me this beautiful wall hanging.

One of the things I really like about this hanging is the subtly. That small, four letter word on the hanging says as much as the picture itself.  Thank you so much, Elizabeth. I love it.

AND....
This arrived yesterday from Ro.  A happy  journal and lovely card.

Thank you. I am truly blessed to have such great blog friends.
AND....
The Garden in January.
As you can see, the kale's doing well. It's the second winter for the white kale, which is surprising.
The Christmas/Lenten Roses are almost blooming.

AND.....
What is wrong with this picture?
I've had to deal with unpleasantness in Januaries of the past but never dandelions. Good grief!

AND....
Condolences to the Bears' Fans. :(

LOVE those cards and that gift. Bloggers have hearts bigger than the ocean and a heap of talent (and you fit that bill).
Your garden is lovely. Dandelions thrive all year here.

I love the fabulosity from Elizabeth and CJ, and I can't stress enough the coolness of blogger buds who are artists. Such beauty. I love your garden and have never ever heard of white kale, but since I'm eating healthier these days, I want to come over to eat it.(lol) I eat dandelions, and also put them in tea, so feel free to send a few this way(lol). I had a blogger friend tell me years ago that she pays good money to get rid of them, and couldn't understand my fascination with them. I don't LOVE them, but only use because I heard they were healthy. Meanwhile, kudos again on such a lovely garden and your green thumb. Glad you received everything in the mail, and hope it brought some smiles. Happy, Happy New Year, Super Sandra! RO

Your card from CJ is incredible. I can't even write my name and she draws and writes with beauty and flamboyance, Ro is SUCH a sweetie. She always has something thoughtful to send. Now you're on her radar, you will be inundated with love and caring (and thoughtful gifts, too).

Can you eat white kale, or is it decorative? It's pretty, at least.

Glad to see my gift hanging on your wall. Happy 2019 again, dear.

You've been getting all sorts of cool gifts lately!

Oh, the loveliest cards and gifts!

And I love your kale. I need to try to grow that next year; it's really pretty. It's 40 here in the "frozen north." Not sure what is going on with the weather. I suspect it's not good, though I am not missing the snow a bit!

Thanks, Yvonne. CJ made the purrfect card:)

Beautiful thoughtful cards, love the kale.

Sandra Cox said...

That's for sure, Val.
Lots of folks do like dandelions. I just can't quite cozy up to them;)
Hugs received and returned.

What a lovely thing to say, EC. You know that includes yourself as well.

I'm glad you liked the card. When I saw the image in the card pack, I thought it was purrfect for you. I can't believe you have flowers blooming in your garden. I'd give anything to see a dandelion instead of the dusting of snow we got. Not complaining, mind you, as we've had very little snow and I'm quite ok with that.

Fabulosity is a great word for Elizabeth, CJ and your sweet self.
I've heard of eating dandelions but have never tried it. Plus with the critters running around in the yard, not sure I'd dare. Heh.
You have a Happy New Year also, Rockin Ro.

Sandra Cox said...

A purrfect card indeed, Pat:)
Yup. Those dandelions are certainly hardy souls.

Aw, what lovely gifts! You have the sweetest blogging friends. <3

Sandra Cox said...

Yes and yes:) AND...your gift was extremely thoughtful. I love it.
My understanding is you can eat white kale if you boil the leaves to get rid of the bitterness. I just use it for ornamentation.

And Happy 2019 to you, dear Elizabeth.

Such beautiful cards and thoughtful, too.

I sure have;)

What beautiful cards and wall hanging. How lovely to receive and so galant of your blogger buds. Since I was ill at Christmas time, I finally was able to visit friends...my best friend on Saturday who is, as I type going through a court proceeding with her horrible narcissistic soon to be ex-husband. He wants her to pay him close to $200,000 even though he makes over $11,000/mth and often goes to the Bahamas (think tax shelter). Sorry for the little rant here. My other friend, I saw on Sunday and boy are her kids growing! I am back at work but I took all the decorations off my tree last night. Now comes the cleanup:) Have a beautiful day

They sure are, aren't they, Jeanie?
I'm concerned about the weather too. Sure am glad there's no global warming. Wink. Wink.

Sandra Cox said...

They sure are, aren't they Christine.
I love ornamental kale in the winter.

Sandra Cox said...

The card was indeed purrfect! I love it.
I've just never seen dandelions in Jan before. I'm afraid the tulips will be popping up next.

You are more than entitled to rant. With some people, nothing is more important than money. Unfortunately.
I'm so glad you are on the mend.
You have a beautiful day too, my friend.
