Monday-Tuesday

Thanks, Rye.
AND....
This ice formation in the bird bath was a bit of a head scratcher. I'm still trying to figure out how it formed.

AND...
A fun, birthday gift:

AND...
A gift that I can't wait to get in the ground.
I've never used packaged rhizomes before, but they should be like planting bulbs but not nearly as deep, right? What about you, have you ever used packaged rhizomes?
AND....
It's not Christmas. It's not Easter. And in spite of the weather going from below twenty-five to sixty,  it's blooming:)

AND...What is it?
This reminds me of a stormtrooper's helmet with the color gone wrong.
You fill this canister with water and attach it to what piece of cleaning equipment?
Answer: next week.

Did you have a good weekend? Any winter flowers blooming? Recognize the canister? Ever planted rhizomes? Know a cat that's good with kids?

Every family should have a Bailey.
Love the ice sculpture, and clueless on the canister.
Hooray for bulbs and rhizomes. I believe rhizomes like to be soaked for a day or so before planting - but I never remember and they forgive me.

Wonderful video, thanks for sharing. I have planted several lots of bulbs and rhizomes and it's always so exciting waiting for them to bloom. The flowers in the garden are doing very well. But don't ask me about about household items - I'm not a star housewife! Hugs, Valerie

Sweet video. A bird hit the water and the splash froze in the bird bath? Now you have my brain electrons flying......renunculars grown from rhizomes in the 1980s. Make sure they are the right way up. Quiz? Steam mop.

Hi Sandra - brilliant Bailey - and so glad he's looked after and looking after his family. Beautiful flowers ... love them all. No idea re the water thingy ... I'd guess carpet cleaner, or car cleaner, or window cleaner ... or just spray face water canister! Have a good week - cheers Hilary

Sure one happy kitty indeed. Don't think mine would ever be like that with kids. Weird on the bird bath indeed.

Looks like the birds made their own slide into the water.
Is that a shampoo or deep cleaner for a Dust Buster? Wow, do they even still make those?

Aww, sweet cat especially to tolerate being dressed in costumes. The ice in the birdbath looks like a leaf. I have iris like that, but they grow wild so I've never planted them. Not a storm trooper. How about a steam trooper.? The canister goes to some sort of steam cleaning machine? Enjoy your day

Bailey brought tears to me. I'm pretty sentimental.

I'm also questioning the bird bath, but it makes a great story. I've planted rhizomes I dug out of the ground, but never packaged ones.

I also think it's a steam cleaner of some kind. Maybe for cleaning around your toilet or in your bathroom.

Great video, thanks of sharing. The ice sculpture in the bird bath is very mysterious indeed. And I love that mug, even though I'm not a coffee drinker.

That cat has just amazed me with his gentleness and love. It almost brought me to tears. I think that device is a steamer. That flower loooks like the Christmas rose which comes out in snow in Germany. Our Naddie died suddenly and it’s hard to talk about it but I will next week. We also had someone ram into our car from the back. The car got fixed but it’s just been a tough month especially since my brother now can’t talk to my hubby. Ughhhh...places me in the middle

Love the iris, plant too deep and they won't bloom. I have started them early in pots. There is one called Rebloom that comes back in the fall. Never tried it.

Never used packaged rhizomes

That IS a headscratcher! I've never planted Rhizomes before. In fact, I'm not very good at planting anything. But oh, sweet cat!

Every deserving family should have a Bailey. That's for sure.
Sounds like good advice on the rhizomes. I've planted many Irises just not dried ones.

Sandra Cox said...

I haven't either, so toes crossed:)

Hugs received and returned.

I wondered about the bird splash too, but while it was cold, I'm not sure it was that cold, still.....
Thumbs up on the rhizomes.

Bailey is definitely where he needs to be isn't he, Hilary?

Sandra Cox said...

I've got one out of the four that MIGHT put up with it.

Sandra Cox said...

Heh. It does, doesn't it, Alex?:)
Good guess.

Sandra Cox said...

Steam trooper. I like it:) Heh.
I love Irises. You'll have to photo some of yours for us when they come into bloom this spring.

Sandra Cox said...

Bailey is exactly where he needs to be, isn't he, Elizabeth?
I'm like you. I've moved my rhizomes around, but I've never planted one that's been dried. I'll be anxiously watching them this spring, after they've been planted.

Sandra Cox said...

Glad you enjoyed the vid, Jamie.
The mug makes me smile and I'd also like to know how the ice sculpture formed.

Sandra Cox said...

Bailey certainly is a keeper isn't he?
Good guess.
Sounds Germany has the same Christmas Rose as we do, doesn't it?
Sorry this has been such a rough month, Birgit.
Hugs

I'm always happy you stop by whether it's early or late.
I tend to be running late in my visits these days too:)

This is a rebloomer;)

Sweet kitty indeed, Jeanie:)

Sandra Cox said...

The flowers are way too eager aren't they? My tulips are popping up too:(

Sandra Cox said...

Glad you liked the vid, FSG:)
Your flowers are smart enough to pull the dirt blanket around them and go back to sleep for a month:)

I'm late too, sorry!
I love Bailey! So cute! My heart is smiling!
That ice formation is cool!!! Glad you got a picture!
That canister goes on a vacuum, right?
Can't wait to see your new flowers blooming!
We have ice and snow right now. No flowers yet! LOL! Big Hugs!
