Monday-Tuesday

I took Belle to the vet to get a lump on her spine looked at. Luckily it turned out to be arthritis instead of cancer. While we were in the waiting room, a white terrier kept barking at her and wagging his tail, making quite a racket. His owner told me that his good buddy, that was a cat, recently died. When we left, he just went crazy, I could still hear him barking when I was outside. Evidently, she reminded him of his friend.
AND...If this picture looks blurry it's because it was drizzling rain. Frank was oblivious, just chilling:)
AND...Since this seems to be turning into a cat post, I'm including a pic a friend of mine sent me. He's a dog person, but he keeps trying to convert:) Heh.
AND...For my veggie pals. Have you tried this? Faux bacon and pepper jack cheese melted on a potato bun. It's pretty tasty.
AND...
Quote from a crying child whose father was taken by ICE. "Government please have a heart. My father is not a criminal."

Glad to hear Belle is not doing too badly. Lovely cat pics! Hugs, Valerie

Adorable cat photos! So glad to hear that Belle doesn't have cancer. That would have been so tragic.

And aw, poor terrier, missing his cat buddy! It's always so sad to see animals grieve. :(

Your heart must have been in your mouth. I am so glad that Belle doesn't have cancer, and hope that her arthritis can be treated.
That poor terrier. Animals DO feel love. And grief.
That final quote is a real gut punch.

It is not too often that cats have that effect on dogs.

Thank goodness it wasn't cancer, and hope they are able to treat the pain of arthritis. Your friend has the perfect sense of humor!(lol) Uh...no to the faux bacon please(lol) Give me the hardcore stuff. Hope your day is amazing! Hugs, RO

Glad it wasn't cancer.
Your friend might be a cat person yet.

So glad Belle doesn't have cancer. I had a white cat once that was diagnosed with melanoma. Not sure if arthritis can be treated in cats, but at the time, there was no cure for melanoma in my cat.

I had a cat and dog that loved each other that much. They didn't realize they were from different genuses.

Don't get me started on that girl who was on TV about her dad. The govt. has put workers (illegal or not) in jail who pay taxes and support the local economy. Now the govt. has a slew of legal children they must take under their wing and support. Seems we have gone from what was a free (tax collecting) economy to a welfare state overnight with this action. And I thought Trump called Dems SOCIALISTS! Like I said, don't get me started!

Echoing the the others on Belle not having cancers. So glad to hear.

Arthritis is better than cancer for sure, good news here.

I'm so glad it wasn't cancer. We found a lump on Spunky and it was.

And we make fake scrambled eggs with onions, potatoes, and fake sausage, served over a muffin with that veggie bacon and veggie cheese - and it's SO good.

Glad Belle is ok. The puppy story is so poignant. He must have been overjoyed when he thought he saw his best bud and sad when buddy left. Frank chilling made me smile as did the cat head mask. I saw a joke on Facebook with a picture of people in a store trying on the animal heads mask. The caption: And that's how everyone got lice. And the humor is tempered by what's happening in our country. And a recent quote I saw from Anne Frank with frightening echoes. 😿

Oh, that is so sweet about the dog in the vet surgery. I am so very relieved that Belle is OK. Arthritis isn't fun but it sure beats the alternative. Love your friend's cat-head and of course Frank is a gem. As for ICE -- don't get me started... Tragic.

Thanks, Val. Better arthritis than cancer.
Hugs received and returned.

Thanks, Heather. Yes, we've had a cat with cancer and it was tragic.
I felt bad for that little dog too. He just doesn't understand what happened.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, EC. I was relieved with the diagnosis. Overall, she's doing well. It certainly hasn't affected her appetite. Heh.
Agreed. Animals love and grieve.
Oh gosh. I don't know if they're showing that news clips in Australia, but a gut punch is exactly what it is.

Hi Andrew. Not too often. Though we've had a few best buds.

Hey Rockin Ro, speaking of hardcore stuff (or not so hardcore) have you tried the Impossible Burger/Whopper yet?

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Alex. Me too.
Heh. He might.

Thank you, Jamie. I appreciate that:)

I'm sorry your white kitty had melanoma. I've read white cats are prone to it. My white fur baby had cancer too.
Nothing about the current situation with immigrants makes the least bit of sense. I shudder to think how history will judge us.

Sure must have reminded him of his buddy. Arthritis stinks, but beats cancer.

Sandra Cox said...

Oh yes.

Sandra Cox said...

Oh no! I blush to admit, I don't remember if Spunky was one of the former two or current two.
Your breakfast sounds wonderful. I'll be right over:)

FB humor:) Is that where you find your great Wordless Wednesdays? :)
Frightening echoes indeed, CJ. Scary stuff.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks I was relieved too. I agree about the arthritis.
Tragic is definitely the right word for the situation we are in.

I got a kick out of it:)

It is indeed, Yvonne.
