Ketch-Up Day

We're back.

What we've been doing:
We celebrated with friends last week where the HH got cake #1.

Then we made a quick trip to Southern Illinois and Indiana.
On the way, we saw snow in the mountains in the Pisgah National Forest. Apologies for the blurry pictures, they were taken from the car.
The next birthday celebration was with my family at Harrah's where he got cake #2. By the by, loved the candle. It opened like a lotus flower. As you can see he's a Cub's fan.
From there we went to Southern Indiana to visit with the HH's sister and brother-in-law. While there, he got cake #3 (decorated in Chicago Bears colors:)

They have a new home that is quite nice. I fell in love with the master bath and wanted to share it with you. I was quite intrigued by the door. It's on gliders and as you can see, replicates a barn door.
Walk-in closet.
Bath.
Powder room.
Shower.
Double sink.
Nice, huh? And yup that's me in the mirror. The pictures came out dark and don't really do it justice.
Now back on the road and driving through the mountains..

And finally...

Home.

AND...Speaking of birthdays.  A belated Happy one to Lee. I have been getting soooo behind on blogger buds birthdays.  A thousand apologies. If you've never been to Lee's blog it's always filled with fun and yummy recipes.

So what have YOU been up to while I've been away?

That's a lot of cake. I like the bathroom, but not the barn door. Lee had a birthday? Did I miss it too?

Your HH had a wonderful birthday celebration. I take it he likes any Chicago sports team! Glad you took us on this road trip, because that bath was wonderful.

Happy belated birthday to Lee, too.

Three cakes - why not! That second one is impressive.

3 cakes is a perfect way to celebrate. It sounds like you had a great time and that’s what counts. Wishing Lee a Happy Birthday. That birthday is almost how we want our bathroom and I love the separate water closet which is a European thing and one that I think makes sense. I want tha Walk in closet

That is a gorgeous bathroom! I love the barn doors too.

I think 3 cakes is a great symbol of a life well lived! To have that many people shower you with sweets? You're doing something right.

I didn't even know today was Lee's birthday, so you're doing better than me.

GOOD GRIEF! That's a LOT of cake! And it looks like a lot of fun, too -- you can tell from the smile. What a great way to celebrate. And it had to be fun to see family too. Love the house -- I know what you mean about the bathroom. What a great candle... all SO good. Welcome back, Sandra!

3 cakes, that's some celebration. I could skip the snow in the mountain photos. So not ready for snow. And it looks like my Dollhouse could fit into that bathroom!

Happy birthday to him.

I also been meaning to visit Harrahs. A decent drive from where we are though.

Sandra Cox said...

Why not indeed. My sister got that one and couldn't wait till his bday to show it to him so produced it the night before:)

I love the separate water closet too. Harrah's, where we stayed Thursday night, has a set up like that.
Oh yeah, the walk-in closet is NICE.

Isn't that door neat? It is gorgeous. The pics didn't do it justice.
I like that. A symbol of a life well lived.
Actually her bday was the 11th, so, per usual lately, I'm behind.

Neat candle! That's cool y'all got some good family time in for his birthday. 😊 Since he's a Cubs fan, maybe his acronym should be CH (Cubby Hubby) instead of HH. 😁 I love those sliding barn doors! I think all doors should be sliding doors, lol. Recessed ones are cool too. Nice trip pics! Happy birthday to Lee! 🎂🎈🎉
