It's Tuesday

How was your weekend and Monday, Blogger Buds?

We got a fun surprise in the mail from the baby girl and SIL. A Halloween care package, and with the exception of the cookies, all things pumpkin. I've been toasting the bread then adding some pb and cream cheese.  It's delish.

AND...

Faux Paw posed for a shot. She's still trudging along. At this point, each day she's with us is a good day. She's taken to laying out in the grass, soaking up the last rays of sun in the late afternoon, early evening.

AND...

The eternal garden pics.

The Iris is still blooming:)

Whoops. Dropped my hat.

AND...

The HH  nudged me toward a flu shot, which I would have gotten eventually:) The HH said he didn't feel his at all and was still waiting for it after he'd received it. So, I decided to get mine where he'd gotten his.  Just let me say, I obviously got a different technician.

AND...

The other day I made myself a cup of tea and it was absolutely terrible. The next morning when I went to make coffee, I discovered I'd forgotten to throw out the coffee grounds before I made it.

Had any dur moments lately?

Pumpkin goodies are appearing everywhere, at least that's what I've been told. You got a lot of great gifts from your family. They must know you.

I've never had a flu shot. My friend Sally got one last year (and every year) and she got the flu. She was so sick they kept her in the hospital for over two weeks. I hope you don't suffer like that.

No wonder your tea tasted bad. Sorry if I laughed, but that sounds like something I'd pull (but never with the coffee, since I make at least two pots every day).

Poor Faux Paws. Such a sweet cat. If I ever get another cat, I'd be tempted to name it that, too.

Stay safe, stay well, and stay dry.

Coffee? Tea? Senility is slowly settling in.
Faux Pas doesn't look so old.
Masked and isolated, no need for a flu shot here but generally a good idea. A few years ago I had quite a reaction to the flu shot, and I haven't had one since.

That's a nice care package.
Never get a flu shot and never get the flu, either.

That was sweet of them to send you the care package. Glad you got your flu shot. I got mine too already and have been getting one for decades. I never get the flu.

I hope Faux Paw is around a lot longer.

Tea and coffee mixed together - yuck!

Thoughtful gift and a happy post today! My two sisters' senior cats have been very ill recently. The 17 year old seems to be on the mend but the 12 year old fell ill a few days ago and it is worrying.

Oh my, that is not a good start to the day. My hubby has done this before with the coffee. I love your flowers especially the pink ones. I’m glad you got your flu shot even though it hurt.

Glad to hear you got your flu jab:)
It was a fun package, for sure.
Faux is having another good day:)
I'm afraid my Iris has made her last hurrah, but she bloomed much longer than I ever expected, so I can't complain.
Cheers,

Thanks for Faux's lovely wishes and the garden comments.
Hope YOU had a wonderful weekend.
Hugs received and returned.

Poor Sally. That's nasty.
Yes, the pumpkin package was a lovely surprise.
The HH named Faux. She did her share of Faux Paws as a kitten:)
The tea was ghastly. Ha.
Stay safe. Be healthy.

Great care package! I love all things pumpkin. Beautiful flowwr and kitty shots.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks for that, Andrew. Heh:)
Faux is 18 1/2. Still a sweet young thing;)
I don't think I'd want another flu shot either if I had a serious reaction to one.

The package was a lovely surprise for sure. Thumbs up for all things pumpkin:)
Thanks, Denise.

I'm truly laughing out loud at the coffee/tea incident and can picture doing something similar around here.(lol) I decorated some pumpkins, but that's about it when it comes to anything else pumpkin related. Definitely NOT a fan of that flavor(lol), but I love how your family knows you so well. Purple flowers - yay!!! Hugs, RO

Faux Paw is darling and I'm glad they are good days. I love the care package idea. That was so thoughtful. And the iris! Shock and surprise here. Let's just say you don't see that in Michigan!

Sandra Cox said...

It certainly was, Natalie. Made my day.
Good on you for getting your flu shot.
Have a great one.

Sandra Cox said...

Would you believe it was the only item without pumpkin:) Butterscotch chips instead. Pumpkin cookies would be good, wouldn't they?

Sandra Cox said...

Worrisome. Hope the twelve year old is recovering. Do they know what's wrong?

Sandra Cox said...

Right there with your hubby:)
Thanks and thanks.
Have a great one.

She seems to be enjoying herself. Thanks, FSG.
The flowers are mums.

Sandra Cox said...

You are way ahead of me if you have decorated pumpkins.
Are you getting cool weather today?

Sandra Cox said...

It's the first year I've had a re-bloomer. I love it. As I do my care package and Faux:)
Thanks, Jeanie.
