Happy Birthday, Ruth

Today would have been my mother's 81st birthday. Quite the cutie wasn't she?
A little about her:
Her favorite colors: Bright purple. Bright red.
Her goals: To be a nurse and have four children.
Things she loved to do: Travel, shop, parachute from an airplane
She loved: any kind of chocolate, cookies, pies and cakes and even after she went diabetic she was always looking for something sugar free to satisfy that sweet tooth.

She loved cats, especially her last cat named Neon.
She loved jokes and practical gags. And if they were a tad off-color all the better.
Life was not easy, but she stayed unbeat and always wore a smile.
Happy Birthday, Mother. Wherever you are, enjoy your day.

No matter how young or how old we are, it's hard to lose a parent. I lost my dad in 1995, but I think of him so often, it's like he is with me, which in a way I'm sure he is. I also understand him much better as a person than I did when he was alive. Your mom will always be with you, too.

Purple? Red? What a beaut woman Ruth was. But oh, how your mum look like you. Just think how colourful she's making heaven right now

Thanks, everyone, I REALLY appreciate you all. And I'm sure you made my mom smile:) And she no doubt grinned hugely over the 'making heaven colorful.'
