Your long legs?

Avery's No Bake Cookies
In Maximum Risk, my
heroine, Avery, is cut off from her life due to the bad guys wanting her dead.
To get her mind off the danger she bakes a batch of her mom’s No Bake
Cookies-the only thing she can bake since she isn’t a cook. Quinn gave them his approval and he comes
from a family where his mom cooks Sunday dinner and leaves Tupperware in his
fridge when he’s away-so you know they’re good J So, here’s the recipe for Avery’s No Bake Cookies
from Maximum Risk. Enjoy!
Avery’s No Bake Cookies
½ c cocoa
2 c sugar
½ c milk
1 stick butter
½ c peanut butter
½ tsp. vanilla
3 c quick-cooking oats
1) Mix
sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in a saucepan and boil for 1 minute
2) Take
off heat
3) Add
peanut butter, vanilla and oats.
4) Lay
out on wax paper and let cool before enjoying!

Maximum Risk
Hi, Sandra, and
all you fabulous readers out there *waves* Thank you so much for having me
today! My romantic suspense, Maximum Risk (Book #1, Wolff Securities), released
this month so I’m very excited to be here! Thank you so much for sharing it
with me!!
In honor of my release I am giving away
an e-book copy of any one of my books (go to my WEBSITE to choose) to
one lucky commenter so please leave me a comment with your EMAIL so I can
contact you if you win!!
Blurb:
It
should have been a simple rescue mission…
Retired Pararescueman, Quinn
Wolff, wrote the book on how to stay alive during a mission when he founded
Wolff Securities, an elite private sector security firm. When he fast-ropes
down to save missing humanitarian aid worker, Avery Marks, in the remote
mountains of Azbakastan he isn’t prepared for the brave, stubborn woman who
challenges the rules he wrote in order to protect her.
But
when it comes to matters of the heart nothing is simple…
Avery Marks learned a long time
ago to take care of herself, but when her convoy is attacked, her friends and
coworkers murdered, she has to rely on the aid of intensely capable and
handsome, Quinn Wolff to get her safely out of the country. His skills keep her
alive, but his kisses put her in danger. In danger of losing her heart. That’s
a risk she can’t take ever again.

Gut-wrenching sobs choked her as she
brought the truck to a skidding stop in front of Quinn’s house. She fumbled
with the door handle and nearly fell on her face when it opened. Leaving the
door wide open, she ran into the house and straight to her bedroom where she
slammed the door. Quinn’s borrowed bloody shirt lay on the floor, tainted with
Ryan’s blood. Her own blood.
Memories of what they’d done to her
flooded in. The pain. Her screams. The times she couldn’t scream. The missile
hitting the Land Cruiser. Scott taking a bullet.
Oh God.
Unable to process, Avery pummeled
the fabric with her fists. Over and over she swung until the pain in her arms
overshadowed the pain in her heart.
A pair of arms wrapped around her
from behind, picked her up off the ground and swung her away from the bed.
Still aching inside, she kicked and fought to be free. The arms held tight,
body taut.

Meet Jennifer:
NY Times & USA Today bestselling
author, Jennifer Lowery grew up reading romance novels in the back of her math
book and on the bus to school, and never wanted to be anything but a
writer. Her summers were spent sitting
at the kitchen table with her sisters spinning tales of romance and intrigue
and always with a tall glass of ice tea at their side.
Today, Jennifer is living that dream
and she couldn’t be happier to share her passion with her readers. She loves everything there is about
romance. Her stories feature alpha
heroes who meet their match with strong, independent heroines. She believes that happily ever after is only
the beginning of her stories. And the road to that happy ending is paved with
action, adventure, and romance. As her characters find out when they face
danger, overcome fears, and are forced to look deep within themselves to
discover love.
Jennifer lives in Michigan with her
husband and two children. When she isn’t
writing she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Liebster Award
Blogster bud, Gina Stoneheart, nominated me for the Liebster Award, awhile back and I'm just now getting my hinnie in gear for the requirements. Thanks, Gina, for the nomination.
For those of you who aren't familiar with it:
The Liebster Award is given to bloggers with less than 200 followers. The goal of this grand gesture is to help find blogs which are worthy of a bigger following... sort of like finding diamonds scattered amongst tiny grains of sparkling, white, distant sands. You imagine they are there but you have to look hard enough to pick up their beauty and inspiration against the decadence of a jealous sun.
In German, Liebster means kindest, beloved, valued and welcome.
The rules for accepting this award are as follows:
List 11 random facts about myself.
Answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated me.
Nominate 11 other blogs who have less than 200 followers and let them know they have been nominated.
Post 11 new questions for those bloggers to answer (If they wish to accept the award, it’s completely optional).
My questions and responses:
What is one thing most of us do not know about you?
I'm a cat person. My bad. Everyone knows that.
What are your top 10 favorite movies of all time?
When Harry Met Sally
Hunger Games
Mockingjay
The Sum of All Fears
Miss Congeniality
While You Were Sleeping
Twilight (First Series Only)
Thor
Star Trek
Star Trek Into The Darkness
What is your favorite thing about each season?
Spring: Tulips and daffodils
Summer: Listening to and watching the birds
Fall: colorful leaves
Winter: Christmas
Do you believe you can love more than one person at different times of your life?
Most definitely
What do you love most about your writing?
When I finish a novel
What are some of your favorite novels?
The Hunger Games Series
Twilight Series
I'm currently reading James Patterson's Detective Mike Bennett's series
As you can see I'm a series girl:)
Do you like cheese? If so, what is your favorite type?
Sharp white cheddar
If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
Unfortunately, there's no going back.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
The first goes without saying: I'd be on the New York Times Bestseller List. grin.
There would be no more unwanted, unloved and uncared for animals in the world.
All people would be treated with respect and dignity and no one would be hungry. That's kind of a run on or run together wish, but both are equally important.
What was the best vacation you ever had and why?
Taking the kids when they were little to Disney World. You can't beat family vacations.
Do you believe in soul mates? Why or why not?
Most definitely. I also believe you don't always meet them.
Now for my nominees and their questions. As you can see I've, ahem, modified the rules. I've listed five nominees and have six questions.
My nominations are:
CJ@http://ponyexpressgraphics.blogspot.com/. CJ is a calligrapher and dips her fingers into many other forms of creativity. As previously mentioned, my favorite posts of hers are Wordless Wednesday and Friday's Five Good Things.
Blue Grumpster@http://thebluegrumpster.blogspot.com/. Blue always has something fascinating to say in well written verse. Check out his blogger board game....I want it!
Stacy McKitrick@http://stacysrantings.blogspot.com/. Stacy is another Lyrical author, who became a blogster bud before I ever submitted to Lyrical. She always has something of note going on at Stacy's Rants. Her covers alone are worth a visit.
Leandra Wallace@http://leandrajwallace.blogspot.com/ Leandra is an Indiana girl. This is a big plus for me since I lived many years in Lafayette. She's an avid reader and writer who likes old buildings and things that sparkle. She posted an advertising plan for a book release that was fabulous. Need some ideas for your next release. Check it out: http://leandrajwallace.blogspot.com/2014/07/things-i-would-do.html.
Elizabeth Vardan @http://elizabethvaradansfourthwish.blogspot.com. Elizabeth Vardan writes mysteries and children's books and loves to travel. If you check out her current blog you'll learn all types of fascinating things about Spain and India you probably didn't know.
Here's your questions:
If you were an animal what would you be?
What's your favorite genre?
When reading, do you prefer paper or a hand held device?
What's your favorite vacation spot?
What's your favorite charity?
If given the choice, where would you live?
