Congratulations to Ashley M.
We had NO trick or treaters so the things I bought 'just in case' are in the cupboard. I am hoping that out of sight is out of mind. And definitely out of mouth and belly.
I really needed that extra hour.
No trick-or-treaters at our house either. Bummer. Well can't let that candy go to waste!
I like mounds...
The extra hour is great. At least you have a good stash haha
Congrats to Ashley, enjoy your Monday Sandra.
I had plenty of candy leftover
looks nom nom pass it over :)
The past several years we haven't had any trick or treaters. Even though we live on one of the main roads in our rural town, there are no sidewalks and few streetlights. The fire departments hosts a party on the town green and the firehouse. So this year, I didn't buy any candy (though I'm salivating at the thought of leftover Mounds bars). I did bake a yellow cake for Ink's birthday. He enjoys a crumb or two of yellow cake. And The Eldest and I watched Corpse Bride on Netflix.
Hi, dear Sandra! You only got a dozen trick-or-treaters at your house? Do you live atop a mountain? :) Between 250 and 300 kids typically visit our house at H-ween. That's a lot of candy to hand out!
Yessum, the year is flying by. Let me be the first to wish you a happy Groundhog Day! :)
I got about 50. I used to get an average of 120 or so. In fact I had only 2 kids by the time it was close to 7:30pm! I was handing the candy out in droves. I ended up getting older kids and had to turn the last few away because I ran out of candy-felt bad but I didn't want to have any left over
Good idea. If you can't see candy, it doesn't exist is my motto:)
The extra hour was wonderful. And that's very thoughtful of you not to let that candy go to waste. grin.
I didn't get any trick or treaters- so I have candy left over. I didn't buy too much since we normally only get a handful of them each year.

Thanks, Yvonne, you too:)
I wonder if part of it is that parents are taking their kids to the stores for organized trick or treating.
Here it comes....
I'm glad you made a cake for Ink:) Sounds like a good Halloween.
300 kids! I'd need to take out a loan for candy.
And a happy Groundhog Day to you. grin.
Its always hard to figure out how much candy to have on hand. And they do seem to be coming later, don't they.
I don't think kids Trick or Treat at homes as much as they used too. Good job on being prepared. Hope you have good stuff leftover:)
I didn't have any, but that might have been because of the danger tape and the traffic cone in front of our house. Um, it made for a peaceful evening.
This year is going too quickly!
We went to a Halloween party, but we bought chips in case some kids stopped by before we left. None showed up, so we have a whole bag of individually wrapped bags of chips. Not a bad thing, though. :)
The party was a lot of fun too!
