How was your weekend, blogster buds?
We spent ours playing with the grands Friday night and Saturday then Sunday I did what I've been putting off forever--all because I didn't want to move my shoes out of the closet--started shampooing the carpet. Woo hoo. Note I say started. I might have to call a halt to the wild excitement for a day or two. Yup, the fun never stops at our house. What about you? I trust you've got something more titillating to share than carpet cleaning.

When you have finished your carpet shampooing feel free to come over hear and start again.
Adding to the exciting weekend stories, I scrubbed bird crap from our veranda. I do love our birds but continence isn't their strong suit...
come over here. I am more literate than that. Really I am...
I scrubbed the bathroom floor Sunday. We know how to party hard, don't we?
I don't have a carpet anymore, just wooden floorboards, so much easier to keep clean -I am not good at Housew*rk. Hugs, Valerie
If you would care to come over and shampoo my carpets I would greet you with open arms.
Yvonne.
I spent saturday afternoon with a knitting buddy of mine. sunday was restful; did the minimum of chores.
I don't have carpets either.... too much bother....
I worked on a project I started. My new plan is to start finishing these half started things. I had chores to do as well it is part of life..laundry, grocery shopping..etc..
ps - I have been wanting to read one of your books, which one would you recommend?
I umm did yoga for 90 minutes, that count as exciting?
Are those all your shoes or is that a shoe store?
I rearranged my sock drawer, dear Sandra! :) Filling a weekend with household tasks isn't our favorite thing to be doing with our time but there is an undeniable satisfaction that comes from getting the job done.
I know you are:) I do that ALL the time.
Cleaning carpets might be worth it, if it got me to Assie Land.
And who says we don't know how to party? Grin.
Moving shoes can be a big thing! Looks like you have a lot of them, too...but not as many as some people.
I like wooden floors and they are easier to clean. You chose wisely:)
Have a great one, Val.
Hugs back:)
Uh huh. Grin. I can travel the world shampooing carpets:)
Ha.
:)
That counts as serene:) Which is great.
Sounds like a purrfect weekend:)
They can be a pain. What do you have? Wood?
Good plan. Did you know Steven King wrote Under The Dome, thirty years after he started it? I thought that was pretty cool.
It really means a lot to me that you want to read one of my books, True. Thank you. Recommendations, hmm. If you like paranormal: Ghost For Sale or Vampire Island. If cats: Shardai or Odin Cats. Western romance: Silverhills.
Hi Sandra, glad you had such a nice weekend. Mine was too, didn't do anything too exciting but it was very pleasant. I recently painted a long-overdue closet, decluttered by giving shoes I hadn't worn in a while to the Goodwill, and some clothes, put one of those light motion sensors inside so that I can now see what I am looking at, and built a shoe rack. It is so tidy that I keep looking inside and seeing if the light sensor works, lol. It hasn't been that tidy in a while. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment on my Monday Morning Food post. Your right, I think cashews would be a lovely addition. Enjoy your week :)
You are a shoe lady:) I wish I could say I was my friend who went on a work trip(he works for a travel agency)-a weekend cruise on one of the newest ships. All I did was visit my mom, laundry and mop floors. Oh wait-I did something really exciting...wait for it...I put my summer clothes away and took out my winter clothes. Hey..at least it wasn't the weekend to shave our one cat's ass
Shades of Imelda Marcus? I'm still busy editing two new books.
laminate ...we're a poor country :)
I didn't have time for housework-related fun, I worked all weekend and was so tired I dozed both afternoons. I hate carpet shampooing, because I always end up with one tiny patch that I missed!
You're making me feel better, Shady:)
Wow - why is housework such a commitment. I thoroughly cleaned the refrigerator last weekend and once I started, I realized just how long it would take for me to finish. There was no going back, lol.
Excuse my multitude of deletes I kept having to rewrite sentences:(
Not as many as some people:) I used tough shoe-love and threw away a few pair:) Once I got going it wasn't that bad. And my closet looks so much neater now that they are all in place instead of strewn around.
Wow, Denise, your closet got the royal treatment. It sounds wonderful.
I need to get better about taking shoes and clothes I don't wear to Goodwill. I'm just certain I'll need something as soon as I part with it. grin.
Enjoy your week too:)
Unfortunately, not even close:)
Good luck with the edits.
Yeah, I would have rather spent the weekend with your friend on a cruise ship too:)
Ouch! Hope you've got some time off coming soon, Annalisa.
Oh my cleaning the refrigerator....just thinking about it gives me the shakes.
When I first saw your photo, I thought, wow, someone did some damage at the shoe department. LOL Hey, it happens. :) (i.e., I've have my far craze at the shoe department)
