Weekend at the Movies...Even Though It's Tuesday
We did the movie thing this weekend. Something new and different. Our weekends seem to revolve around grocery shopping at Walmart and movies. Friday we re-watched San Andreas. And even though I'd seen it before by the end of the movie I was on the edge of my seat.
Saturday we went to see Bridge of Spies. It was an interesting look at history. Tom Hanks is superb in the role of James Donovan, the American lawyer who negotiated the exchange of an American pilot and an American student for a Russian spy. (Later Donovan was beneficial in obtaining the release of 9700 prisoners in Cuba.) This isn't a fast-paced, nail-biting movie, but its certainly worth a look see, especially if you're interested in history. A friend of ours liked it so well, she saw it twice.

It is way too long since I have been to the movies. I seem to have got out of the habit.
I'd watch SAN ANDREAS... I usually never want to watch disaster movies but when I actually see them they're usually exciting and well done
San Andreas is your typical disaster film. No surprises but fun to watch. Still haven't seen Bridge of Spies yet. And you know what I watched Halloween night!
Happy November! On Saturday my parents and I went to a Halloween party. Mom's friend from high school had a party at her house an hour away from where we live. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday I practiced for an interview and worked on my book.
Just watched San Andreas the other day, a fun one indeed.
I want to see Bridge of Spies
San Andreas looks plenty scary, dear Sandra, but nothing can top Sharknado! :) Mrs. Shady and I loved The Rock in Pain & Gain. We also love Tom Hanks in just about everything he's done since Bosom Buddies.

I will let you in on a secret, the last time I went to the movies I was pregnant with my second child........he has just turned 48 yrs.
I do see movies on TV,
The movie looked scary but enjoyed the watch all the same.

We had three. I guess everyone else was afraid to come a-knockin' on my door, me being Blue Shoe and all... I still need to watch Bridge of Spies.

I did not go to the movies but I rented a couple. I do want to see Bridge of Spies and I will rent the disaster one once I can have it for 5 days. The hubby and I watched Dream House-Tanked at the box office but it isn't bad at all. The other one is Hector and his search for Happiness-now that is a winner! It stars Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike. We had about 50 kids but I used to have 120.
I decided to not watch San Andreas when it came out in theaters, I don't like those types of movies
We don't go as often as we used to.

Hi Shady. I like both the Rock and Tom Hanks.
In spite of Alex's mentions, I'm just not familiar with Sharknado.
We talked about going to the movies, but we would have had to kill three hours before the next showing...so we just had a late lunch and went home!
That was meant to be a joke, Sandra. Sharknado is a series of preposterous sci-fi disaster movies. Freak meteorological events conspire, causing powerful tornadoes to scoop up live sharks from bodies of water and rain them down on city streets where they attack and eat people. (Based on a true story :)
