I don't know about you but Easter is way too early this year. I bet it even has the Easter Bunny screwed up. What do you want to bet he shows up a week late? Are YOU ready?
More or less. Yes, Easter has come too fast, but how is it that we are nearly a quarter the way through the year? Christmas was only the week before last. Wasn't it?
Yes, it's very early. Although it's made my birthday unique because I was born on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, and that configuration never happens again in my lifetime. Which I think is cool, because I'm a geek :-)
Oops, made a huge muddle of that comment. My birthday is the middle of April - and the year I was born, it was the Easter weekend too. But it never falls on that Saturday again because Easter moves around so much.
I like when Easter falls in April More "Spring like" but after Christmas, it is my second favorite holiday. I'll be gathering with family this year. Hope your holiday is wonderful!
Am I ready? Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, no! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteRight there with ya, Val.

ReplyDeleteYou're right on Christmas just being last week. At least I assume that's why I just got the last of the Christmas decos down this week. :)
DeleteWe have a set date for Jesus' birthday - you'd think we'd pick one for His resurrection. You're right, even the bunny is confused.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
Deletenot celebrated at my house, so meh. but I do have some vanilla buttercream eggs to munch on; ANY TIME is a good time for candy!
ReplyDeleteYou got that right on the any time, Anne Marie:)
DeleteAlways ready for chocolate and licorice jelly beans
ReplyDeleteYou and my bro. I'm not a big jelly bean person, but I HATE black jelly beans. Bla-bla-bla.
DeleteHi, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteI read that the Easter Bunny emerged from his hole this morning, saw his shadow, and predicted four more weeks of A to Z. :)
Happy Thursday to you, dear friend!
Ha!
DeleteHappy Thursday back, Shady:)

ReplyDeleteIt's very cool. Sounds like it will be a fun celebration at your house. You can just go all weekend:)

DeleteI didn't make that any clearer, did I?
Have a wonderful Easter Sandra. Loved the post.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks, Yvonne. Happy Easter to you too.
DeleteNo, but I have warned the big kids that the grand littles are the only ones getting a basket this year.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya. I haven't totally gone cold turkey. I give the 'kids' a little something but no longer do baskets for them, just for the babies.
