Who Would You Pick To Be Jack Reacher

We went back to Our Towns Cinema in Davidson to see Jack Reacher. As previously mentioned, the theater gets high marks.  It's neat and clean.  The folks are friendly. Besides popcorn, you can order pizza or sandwiches, and it has tables in the theater to eat at.
The movie was standard Reacher fare. In other words, plenty of action.
Now here's my question to you.  If you were directing this film who would you pick for the lead?
A. Tom Cruise
B. Armie Hammer
C. Dwayne Johnson
D. Other

Looks like you had fun! I have no idea who I would pick, I hardly ever get to see a movie! Hugs, Valerie

Colour me clueless.
I wouldn't pick Tom Cruise for anything though.

I heard it was standard. I'd definitely give the movie theater two thumbs up though.
Who would I cast? Anyone but Cruise and preferably someone taller.

I'm with Alex, just about anyone but Cruise. Heard it was average as well.

I'd say Hugh Jackman, but just because he's my first choice for everything. LOL

I just read all the books this year and had to laugh at hearing the Cruise voice in the 1st one.I am looking forward to seeing it

Not a big Cruise fan, so not him, but not sure who I'd pick

Don't know whom I would choose. Certainly not Tom, never Tom.

We did. Thanks, Val.
You may not get to the movies but you take wonderful nature and city walks.

I believe you and your wife would enjoy the theater, Alex.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't a 'top picks':)

All I can say about Hugh Jackman is WOW...fanning myself.

Don't ya love that series? Lee Child is an amazing author.

Sandra Cox said...

I hear ya. I lean toward thinking Dwayne Johnson.

I think he's done a good job in most of the movies he's been in, but this one just isn't a fit for me.

I think Armie could pull it off too, Donna.

You know, if I sat here for the next 10 minutes, the perfect person would come to mind. As it is, I like Cruise. I think he's too old for the part, but a younger Tom would work. Hold on, let me get my time machine started up.

Heh, heh.
I think Cruise does a great job in most of his roles, but I just can't wrap my head around him playing Jack Reacher. Have you read the series?
I'd definitely like to borrow that time machine:)

We have a theater similar to that where I live, but they have a full menu to choose from. The seats are comfy, recline with a button, and have a swivel tray to eat at. It's the only place I see movies at now!

I haven't seen a single Jack Reacher movie. I was just wondering today if Tom Cruise has hand-selected his next pretend wife yet. That whole Scientology thing is just weird. Who has casting calls to choose a wife? Weird!

Now Tom Cruise is a nut job but I don't mind him in this role. I can see...Hugh, be still my heart, Jackman. Jeremy Renner, Mark Wahlburg, Matt Damon but that might be too close to The Bourne identity. Russell Crowe (might need to lose a few pounds but who cares), Ryan Reynolds. Oh then there is Mr. Bean, Peter Dinkledge, Jim Carrey, Damon Wayons...:)

Very cool!

Weird: It sure is.

Have you read the series?
If I hadn't read the series I might have warmed up to him as Reacher.

I have to say...nope, I haven't so you would have a better idea obviously

Ok, Hugh Jackman gets a vote from me as well. I also am a fan of Chris Pratt not sure if he is the right guy for the role though, but he is nice to look at ;)

The theatre sounds wonderful! I haven't seen the movie, but I have to say, I do like Tom Cruise. I know so many don't!
