Remember this? The mum Franky decimated last year.
I moved it to the garden and it made a comeback.
A friend who used to run a daylily farm gave me some new daylilies for my fall planting.
And...we discovered a wonderful garden nursery outlet in Pineville. Most of their gallon perennials were 3.99. I found hollyhocks which I've been looking for since March. I also got columbine, bee balm and winter kale. Minus the kale, I'm ready for spring:)

See the hind leg of my little helper? He loves to help dig the holes:) |

What a transformation Sandra. Wonderful to look at on a Monday morning.
Yvonne.
Woo Hoo. I am so glad the mum recovered.
I adore columbines. And hollyhocks. I found some dwarf ones a couple of years ago and will try and track down some more.
Monster Kitty is helping your garden grow, that's a service! Lovely new plants, enjoy! Hugs, Valerie
I want to find some bee balm. You are one very lucky gardener. And YOU have a helper, too. My two only dig if it's to cover their messes. Great shot of that kale, too. Sounds like you had a very productive weekend.
Loving all your new plants and the mum looks very happy there.
Hi Sandra - the Mum certainly came back ... beautiful ... and all happy in their autumn colours ... cheers Hilary
Glad your cat didn't kill off your flowers.
Look at your first flower! If I had touched it, it would have died for sure. I am forbidden to touch anything in the garden by my hubby. It looks like you have a lovely garden with many fall flowers. Glad you kitty can help
Everything looks so beautiful. I wish I had the desire to do such work. I'm just not the outdoor type.
My neighbor, Prissy, had a mum. Each year, she would have it cut back and every year, it bloomed larger than the year before. Lucky you to have a little helper.
You created magic, Super Sandra! HUGE Hugs...RO
Sure thriving away even with the crazy kitty at play.
Thank you so much, Yvonne:)
Good for you on the dwarfs, EC.
I love them both too. I consider columbines fairy flowers. They're so delicate.
Well now, that's one interpretation, Val. Grin.
Hugs back,
I never messed with mums - maybe I will give them a try this year after he rips the veggies out of the garden. You may consider me stupid, but I didn't know they came back every year, (My something new, I've learned)
Still looking good there. Enjoy the days remaining...
Franklin loves to dig, but never does it where it would be helpful.
Love,
Janie
I like bee balm. I call it the Bad Hair Day Flower:)
Thanks, Barbara:)
Thanks, Hilary:) They do seem to be enjoying the season:)
Aw, thank you, Rockin Ro:)
Hugs back,
Me too, Alex:)
You and my kitty. Grin:)
Thanks, Jamie. Not everyone likes to garden. You do other fun things.
Sounds like Prissy had a green thumb:)

I'm a perennial girl, so mums are at the top of my list. Plus they are hardy.
Thanks, Donna. You too.
Sounds like my crew.
And....he tore off wallpaper again.
Spectacular, Sandra! Your freaky friday is fabulous and I love the cabbage!
Thanks, Jeanie:) I'm hoping it will add a spot of color this winter.
Good for you Sandra! I can't believe how well your mum came back! Does the mum only bloom in the fall? I would love to get some hollyhocks! Everything looks great!! Big Hugs!
