First Tulip of Spring

First tulip of spring at the Cox household
AND....
The hostas are up.

AND...
When I trimmed back the roses this fall, I didn't bother to pick up what I'd cut off.  Awhile back, I noticed the cuttings were green and leafy, so I stuck this one in the ground. He definitely is a tenacious little fellow and had a different idea about his next cycle of life than I did..

Woo Hoo. Exciting times.
And the bulbs I have ordered (far too many of them) for our Spring have started to arrive.

Lovely to see fresh blooms growing. We got another load of snow overnight here....when will it end? Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

Autumn here and the past couple of days the temps have reverted to hot and muggy...but...hopefully, from all reports, tomorrow a cool change is due, with a couple of showers thrown in. That I will like! :)

Pushing on through, as life starts to spring once more...until the cat eats them lol

Some of the plants that I thought were just DEAD after this really cold winter have started to sprout.

Isn't it wonderful how Mother Nature "springs" into action when we need new life and color to bring us out of winter's drab grays and bare branches!
Congratulations on the rebirth at Cox residence 🌷

Hugs❤🌹❤

Happy First Day of Spring! My daffs and tulips are buried with more snow on the way. Is it July, yet?

Eats, tramples, lays in:)

Excellent! What all have you ordered?

This is so exciting! I love to see new flowers coming to life. We just have small sprouts peeking out of the earth. Funny, another blogger I follow, Susie Mac, had a beautiful mom that had a gift for gardening. Suzie decided to do what her mom did, take a Rose cutting and just stick it in the ground and a Rose Bush would sprout. She just had another Rose Bush start growing.

Not enough warm days here, but things are peeking through the earth.

I'm definitely ready for spring; it's been a long cold winter. Your pictures made me envious; one of the things I don't like about living in an apartment building is that I can't have my own flower garden.

Sandra Cox said...

More snow? Oh no. They are still bandying the s word here.

I am having a terrible week. I can’t stop coughing, my internet keeps going offline, and my keyboard works about half the time.

LOVE all the greenery at you house. Happy Vernal Equinox, too.

It's been raining today and more is expected this week.

Sandra Cox said...

Congrats to Suzie. I bet it was a Knock Out Rose. Those suckers are hardy.

Sandra Cox said...

I sure hope so, Yvonne.
Thank you. And right back at ya:)

Sandra Cox said...

It's always great to make those discoveries, isn't it, Donna?

Sandra Cox said...

I hope this week's weather is perfect for you, Lee:)

Sandra Cox said...

We're in for rain too, Jamie. I'm looking forward to sunshine.

Sandra Cox said...

I'm so sorry you're having a bad week, Elizabeth.
Computer/internet problems are the pits.
Have you seen a doctor about that cough?

Oh, you ARE getting life! I'm seeing some early bulb shoots but nothing else yet. Probably a good thing -- we'll certainly have more snow. Jealous of your tulip!

Sandra, a HAPPY SPRING DAY to you my friend! I'll be so glad when the weather starts warming up, and I know my wife will as well, for she loves planting in her garden!

Moe snow. Sigh. There's rumblings of it here too, Jeanie.

I'm right there with both of you. Our weather has been fairer than in a lot of places but we're still getting chilly days.

I love to see the new flowers blooming. We don't have much of a flower garden, I have to wander round the streets looking at other people's :-)

Yes, the spring plants are slowly beginning to come through.
I love this time of year.
