This and That

THIS...
I went to Lowes with the HH and they had their plants out.  I couldn't pass up the hellebore (Easter/Christmas Rose).
AND...
I grabbed a winter cabbage/kale off the clearance rack. We will see how it feels about spring and summer.
THAT...
Comparing toenail colors with the grands.
THAT Continued....
Faux Paw (the tuxedo) is now officially sixteen.

Happy birthday to Faux Paw. Friday was really a bad day to be a motorist in Philly.

Lovely plants. A very Happy Birthday to Faux Paw. And Friday was a wild weather day all along the Northeast coast. Another storm predicted for Wed. Is it July, yet?

I love hellebore. It's always so nice to see those blooms in deep winter or early spring.
Faux thanks you, Heather:)

Faux says thanks:)
Yes, that last one is pretty much in your face, especially if you're driving a car.

Sandra Cox said...

Faux thanks you, Alex:)
That tree would be an eye opener if you were driving on that street wouldn't it?

And a Happy Monday to you, Rockin Ro.

Me too, Steve. I'm trying to get some hydrangea and rose starts. I've been hauling them out into the sunshine for an hour or so each day.

Hang on, CJ, spring is nearly here.......

Thanks, Jamie;)

That's for sure, Christine:)

Life look good in your world. Love your sweet cats. It'll be awhile before we see plants -- though I buy almost every bulb garden I see and I'll plant them in the fall!

Sandra Cox said...

Which reminds me...I need tulip bulbs:)

I'm grateful that people are eating kale these days. I used to have to grow my own because I couldn't find it at grocery store. Yours looks lovely.

Love your pics of the Christmas Rose...my mom liked that rose. I always liked the decorative cabbage and one day, will get one. Look at you both with fancy toes but I couldn’t help notice that one has some pain in their feet and I feel bad for that. Happy birthday to your cutie pie

Sandra Cox said...

Kale has gotten to be a popular edible hasn't it, Lee?

Sandra Cox said...

Faux, per usual, slumbered through most of her day:)

Sandra Cox said...

The Christmas Rose is one of my favorites too, Birgit.
My feet thank you:)
