Just a few shots of Buckingham Palace. Note the flying flag in the bottom picture. As many of you already know (I didn't:), the flag designates the queen is in. She apparently didn't get the memo we were outside. Heh. Heh.
AND....
Happy July. Can you believe it?
AND...
Word of the day: Respect.

She didn't even offer you a cup of tea?
Did you see Christopher Robin or Alice?.
Love the word of the day. There needs to be a whole lot more of it.
What? She didn't invite you in? I bet you were sad. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
A wonderful familiar sight I have seen many times.
Sorry you wasn't invited in.
Have a good day.
Yvonne.
Gee Sandra, you should have asked me. As an American who tries to keep up with all things Royal, I could have given you pointers, shown you what gloves to purchase, what ugly purse to buy, and how to curtsy when she finally did let you inside the gate.
If Liz had known you were outside, I'm sure she would have invited you in for tea. :)
Great photos! Never knew that tidbit about the flag. Neat!
I did know that's what the flag meant. I never saw her either though.
That's so cool that you were able to visit, and I didn't know that tidbit about the flag. The photos are pretty amazing! Hugs...RO
I knew what the flag meant. How rude she didn't even give you a wave haha
How rude of the Queen not to invite you in to tea. The second photo of the guard looks like a toy soldier in its packaging. And Rabbit, rabbit, white rabbit to you, too. A day late =^,.^=
Great pictures.
We never did make it to Buckingham Palace.
No. Can you believe it? Heh.
I didn't see them either. Sigh.
Regarding the word of the day, yes. We need a whole lot more.
Can you believe it? Heh.

I knew about the flags from watching BBC documentaries.
Where were the Queen's manners? Didn't she realize that she had a famous author in the crowd and didn't offer her tea :)
Big Hugs ❤❤❤
It's a wonderful sight to see isn't it, Yvonne?
Heh. I should have:)
Ha. No doubt:)
I would be incensed that the Queen didn’t invite you to high tea:) she should have known you were at her front door. Maybe you didn’t wear a good enough fascinator for her. Happy Canada Day and I am in Vancouver! Off to Granville Island today
Interesting about the flag.
I didn't know that about the flag ~~~~~~
