The first Wednesday of every month is officially IWSG day. Members post about their doubts and fears, discuss struggles and triumphs, and offer words of encouragement to others who are struggling.
Thanks, as always, to Alex Cavanaugh, founder and Ninja Captain extraordinaire and our awesome co-hosts.
The IWSG optional monthly question can be found under the IWSG Sign-up tab on the Insecure Writer's Support Group Blog.
Book Reads
Last month I had the pleasure of a sneak peak at Beverly Stowe McClure's GABE'S GUARDIAN ANGEL. I don't want to give anything away since it's not yet released, though it is available for preorder at Amazon. Just let me say, you are in for a reading treat.
And for another holiday pleasure stop by tomorrow for information on J.Q. Rose's new release, YOUR LIFE STORY. You're going to love it. It will make a purrfect gift for those on your Christmas list who are hard to buy for.
Read last month: Indie author Joe Congel's DEADLY PASSION . This one's for the gumshoe aficionados out there. A great read, with a chilling twist.
Currently reading: Good bud and Queen of Prehistorics, Jacqui Murray's: BORN IN A TREACHEROUS TIME. If you like Xhosa, I recommend that you give Lucy a spin.

There is some grammar thing that quite uninvited comes up in my Twitter feed. Yesterday it had a list of common verbs with more interesting alternatives, which did make me think about the way I write, briefly. But I am a bit of a churn it out blog writer.
I love that you authors support each other well, that's great. Strong verbs, huh? Good one! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
More booky temptation? Thank you and drat you.
I do love me some strong words. And occasionally strong drink.
Oh so tempting. You are SO supportive of other writers. I am in awe. Some of those books sound interesting. Thanks for the brief reviews.
LOVE HURL. Reminds me of what people do on New Year's Day!!!
Sure shows you can't just run away. Looks like some winners got read this past month too.
Thanks for the book links. Love your strong verb segment.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed Beverly's book.
The strong verb rocks and thanks for reminding us of that. I can be so easy to fall into the routine. And bravo for your support of other writers. You really are the best!
Careen - I like that one!
Whirl - love that one. Will need to work that into something.
I am honored, Sandra. And I love the other books you've spotlighted!
Thank you for your kind words about Gabe, Sandra. I'm so happy you enjoyed his story. Have a super day.
Send it on over to my twitter feed:)
Churn out. I love it:)
I have Beverly's book on my Kindle and should settle in for a good read by the fire soon. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a marvelous 2020!
Everyone in our blogging community is great about that. You are always wonderful about supporting our efforts too, Val.
Hugs received and returned.
Strong words and strong drink. Ha:)
They are all great reads.
Hurl. Ha!:)
Yes:) and yes:)
Great verbs, all. I like hurtle and lunge (maybe because I've been writing a mystery, Lol.) Likewise, the books, Deadly Passion sounds intriguing. (I love mysteries -- both cozies and thrillers. Your posts are always so interesting!
Looks like you've been busy. :-)

Thanks, Beverly. It was a pleasure to read.
Settling in to read by the fire sounds wondrous. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Thank you, Elizabeth:)
Hurtle and lunge are excellent verbs:)
Deadly Passion is intriguing. I was thrilled to find that the author is a North Carolinian.
Always:) As I imagine are you:)
Entirely me pleasure:)
Ah, I do like visually descriptive action verbs. 😁 I gotta get to writin'!
Enjoyed reading the spotlights. Happy Belated IWSG! And Happy Holidays.
I wouldn't have a clue how to do that, well ok, perhaps. I think it something called grammarly. I expect you know the verb alternatives anyway.
Lots of wonderful books! Love those verbs! LOL! Big Hugs!
