It's Tuesday

Did you have a good weekend and Monday, my friends? We went in last week to see the Grands and watch one of the girl's games. She got two outs at first base. The girl is smokin'.
Did anyone else watch the Star Wars Marathon?  I'm a CNN junkie but we are in such frightening times right now, I needed a break from it.

Okay, can anyone explain to me why folks are now hoarding daily shower cleaner? Has anyone else run into this problem?
What about you, got daily shower cleaner? Do you find the news unnerving?

Pleased you had an excellent weekend away from the doom and gloom of what have become everyday life at present, I haven't heard of hoarding shower cleaner here ..... but toilet rolls yes.
Have a good Tuesday Sandra and keep safe and well.

Ha ha ha, daily shower cleaner? If we didn't need it for diaper changes, I would still be hoarding baby wipes -- those things are great for cleaning all kinds of dust and spills and messes!

Congrats to the first basegirl. A lazy weekend and an online class Monday and today. Isn't it odd what people will wipe off the shelves? A friend can't find shower curtain liners. Take care and stay cool.

It's a strange thing to be hoarding. For some reason bottled lime juice here cannot be found for love nor money. Good that you could see grandchildren. We can't do anything like that here.

Hadn't heard about shower cleaner! Glad you spent time with the grandkids.

Haording shower cleaner? I haven't head about that one! But then Ia haven't had to look for any recently. I remember when people were hoarding toilet paper and when pasta was nowhere to be found during the first weeks of lockdown. But now both of those are readily avaliable.

I don't have tv hooked up and rely on the internet for any and all news... and we all know how reliable THAT is !!! glad you got to spend time with family ☺☺☺♥♥♥

I'm with you, Sandra sometimes I need a break from the news and Star Wars is a perfect escape:) I try to watch a bit from all the channels which only makes it worse...lol. Shower cleaner? Not here but still can't get my regular spray cleaner. Organic oils from Costco was the last thing I had a hard time getting. Although we are definitely stocked up on toliet paper now!

Weird, huh?
Hugs received and returned.

I am certain you had a nice time with the grandchildren. It is nice to get away from the constant COVID19 news. I didn’t watch the Star Wars marathon as I have been convalescing from my friend’s visit last week who can go and go and go. I don’t understand people and their weird grabbing and hoarding stuff. If it is not toilet paper it’s this.

I have this theory about my internet. It knows exactly when it's Monday, so it immediately goes offline. ATT said they'd send someone Tuesday morning between 8 and noon. Looks like they did, since I'm now online.

How awesome that you spent time with the grands. Sounds like the one you are most proud of this time deserved a lot of credit for helping her team.

Here it's canned or frozen peas. You can't find them anywhere. I was shocked. All I wanted was to make a pea salad. But NO. My friend Scott who shops for me couldn't find either canned or frozen at two stores, both chain. My friend Sally went to Sam's and they didn't have any there, either. My kingdom for a pea (and NOT one to put under a dozen mattresses, either).

Forgot to mention, I have already seen the Star Wars marathon, so I binged on Frankie Drake Mysteries on PBS.

Yes, it was good to get away for a a bit.
The grip on TP has loosened here. Though, I never did get what I'd ordered online and finally asked for a refund.
You have a good Tuesday too, Yvonne.

It is fun when they do well.
Looks like I'm going to have to come to England to get shower cleaner:)
Stay safe. Be healthy.

Heh. Definitely:)

A lazy weekend sounds good to me.
Shower curtain liners. Another strange one.

Sandra Cox said...

Lime juice. I wouldn't have expected that.
It's crazy here. Every state, city and county are doing there own thing so there's no consistency. Luckily we were outside, took chairs and sat by ourselves. Though, the little girls get a little too close for comfort.

Sandra Cox said...

Surprising, isn't it. My daughter in law said they were having the same problem.
Thanks, Christine:)

Sandra Cox said...

Yeah, TP is no longer an issue here either.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Rue. And you.

Sandra Cox said...

Heh. Oh yes.
Thanks, FSG:)

I was holding my own until Trump poured fuel on the fire by sending in federal militia to Portland. That really scares me.
Yeah, we are stocked up on TP too, so of course, you can find it anywhere now. Heh. The shortages are just really odd aren't they.

Sandra Cox said...

I did. Thanks.
I wondered if you'd be watching the marathon.
Glad your friend visited with you and hope you regroup soon.
Stay safe. Be healthy.

Sandra Cox said...

Ha. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the internet recognizes Monday:)
Canned and frozen peas. Now that's one I wouldn't have guessed.
I'm not familiar with the Frankie Drake Mysteries. Glad you enjoyed it.

Jeanie said...

I don't think I've ever bought shower cleaner in my life.

D.L. Finn said...

The shortages are so strange now, I agree. Random things. Portland really concerns me, my son lives in Oregon.

Sandra Cox said...

Interesting. What do you use?

Lee said...

My weekend was quiet...not unlike all my weekends. :)

Just the way I like them!

Birgit said...

No, actually I haven’t.

Jeanie said...

Windex or all purpose spray cleaner -- whatever I have at hand.

So pleased you spent time with the Grands.

Hoarding Shower cleaner! Not heard of that, it always seems to start with toilet rolls being bought in excess!

Take care.

All the best Jan
