It's Tuesday

How are you blogger buds?  We've had a lot of rain here and some wonderful fall-precursor days. We had a bud over for lunch last week. I served vegetable soup, bread, salad and, of course, ice cream.😀 This time I left out the potatoes and chocolate, and added the pasta the daughter and SIL sent and V8.

I also used the bread mix they sent.  On the box it shows this beautiful, perfectly shaped loaf. While it was tasty, beautiful would be a gross exaggeration. I blame it on the yeast. We've never gotten along.

AND for the ladies. Has anyone out there tried this product? I was pleasantly surprised. It works well and it's very inexpensive. Yes, my name is Sandra Thrifty Cox. Thrifty sounds so much better than cheap:)

AND last but not least, the cats. You may well remember, when I first got Callie I had serious concerns about her and Frank ever getting along. Now they squabble and play like siblings.

What about you blogger buds? Did you have a great weekend? Good weather? Anything you'd like to share?

Your soup looks wonderful. And the bread looks great, too. And now I'm hungry. I buy my face cream from Lidl's, very cheap and really good - who needs expensive names? Gad your 4 legged kids are getting along well. Hugs, Valerie

I am THRILLED that Callie and Frank are getting along - though some of my siblings don't. At all.
That soup looks great.

Surviving lock down but not liking it. I blame the yeast too.

The soup looks yum and comforting. I love homenade bread, actually I never buy it, just bake myself, so much fun☺ Have a lovely day!

You put chocolate in your soup...?
Doesn't matter the shape of the bread, only the taste.
And glad the cats are getting along.

Bread never looks how it's supposed to when I make it either. But luckily I have a micro-bakery friend who keeps the locals well stocked, so my efforts are no longer required.

I find cheaper face creams and moisturisers do a better job than the expensive ones - where you end up paying for the name and packaging!

Awesome that your cats are getting along so well. My daughter and her boyfriend got a second cat too recently and they're great playmates.

Can you cook for me one day? Your meal sounds delicious.

First, I'd like to say that I'm back after nine days without an internet connection and five without a phone. That's how great MY week is going (grin).

Second, so glad Callie and Frank are getting along. STILL not so with my two. The only time they tolerate each other is when it's time to sleep.

Your soup looks great and so does the bread. I think it looks far better than anything I could ever make. You ROCK, Sandra.

Thanks, too, for honoring Rocking RO on her birthday. I was offline and couldn't even visit her OR you. I'm sure grateful, though.

The bread looks fine, and good. I should try your thrifty gel cream, thanks.

Thank you, Val. I'm hungry too. Heh. I'm going to hold out a little longer than have an English Muffin:)
Is Lidi's German based?

Glad your kids are getting along.

My bread always looks like that, even out of the bread machine.

Whew. Me too. Though, Frank is starting to pick on her a bit.
Thanks. Come on over for lunch:)
Hugs,

The soup and bread looks yummy! I can't wait for cool fall weather and rain:) Glad the cats made peace. We have two that haven't yet...but they will lay in the same room, so progress.

We've had a thunderstorm almost every day for the last few weeks. Lake Junebug was so full that Favorite Young Man bought a pump and an extra garden hose to send the excess water out to the street.

Love,
Janie

Your products always look scrumptious.

Uh, yeah:) Heh. It was great in chili. Not so much in the soup:(
Yes and yes:)

Oh gosh, Elizabeth, losing internet is bad enough, but your phone too! Yikes.
I hear ya on the cats not getting along. Belle tolerated Frank, barely.
Thank you, Elizabeth:) Right back at ya.
We can't forget Rockin Ro.

Your name should be in lights. You're a star;)

Thank you, Christine:)
I really like the gel. Let me know what you think if you try it.

Sandra Cox said...

You just don't like the veggie soup because there's no little cheeseburgers floating in it. Ha.

Sandra Cox said...

Glad to hear I'm not alone.
It doesn't look as pretty, but I like the taste better. It's heavier.

Sandra Cox said...

Okay, may be waiting a bit for that soup, but I can certainly open them a can. Heh.

Thanks for stopping by, Luiz;)

Fall is just around the corner isn't it?
Definitely progress:) Introducing a new cat into an established household can be soooo tiring.

I’m not a soup person and I love chocolate but not in soup. I am so hoping for cooler days. I had a lovely weekend and am hoping for cooler temps

Glad you had a lovely weekend, Birgit. Wishing you cooler weather. I've a feeling it's going to be here before we can blink.
