Did You Know

Did you know a new study shows that overweight seniors are outliving their thinner counterparts? The thinking is that fat fuels the body and protects the bones.

I didn't know that. I suspect there are also studies which say the complete opposite.
Happy October to you too.

My doctor says the same and is always nagging me to put on some weight! Hugs, Valerie

Wow, that's good news because I've put on about 6 lbs since the lockdown. Now I have an excuse for not taking it off.

To a point ... 'oh good' ... though if my belly hung about as some do ... I'd be very depressed! I suspect you're a skinny one! Take care - eat more ... cheers Hilary

I've often thought that a 'good bit of meat on your bones' gives you some reserves to draw on if things go wrong. Like all things, I suppose it is about balance.

Now that makes sense so I should live to be 120. Love the black cat

This was a new one for me. I think it's definitely good for the bones, but maybe not so much the heart....

Sandra Cox said...

Worry can do it, for sure.
Take special care.

Ha. I've put on some too.

I did not know this and it's a good thing. Sort of. If you don't get Covid where weight is a negative factor! Still, I'll count my blessings for today!

That is just amazing! I've never heard that at all. Since I don't lose or gain, I'll hope I'm okay (lol). Happy October 1st to you, or, as Lewis Buzbee would say, "Rabbit, rabbit."
Stay safe and well.

Definitely, a different take to what we normally hear, hey?

Sandra Cox said...

I hear ya on that. Whenever I gain weight that is where it lands.
Take special care.

Balance. Agreed.

Did you hear about those foul mouthed parrots in London? They would swear and were teaching the other parrots to swear so the crew had to separate them.

Sandra Cox said...

Heh. Indeed.
