It's Tuesday

 Move over Jurassic Park.

This is a fascinating article. Also mentioned is cloning pets, if you have the funds. Which raises another interesting question. If I had a spare 35K sitting around, I'd love to have beloved pets back. The question in my mind, is it the thing to do when there are so many homeless pets, no matter how badly we want them back?

Scientist Clone the First U.S. Endangered Species.

AND...

AND...

Calendar Wisdom.

If you could reclone your pet, would you? Got calendar wisdom?

A very, very happy birthday to Faux.
And no, much as I would like it, I wouldn't clone my much loved furry friends. Or anyone else.

Happy Birthday to Faux, wonderful kitty pictures. Seeing Jurassic Park where I live on the South Coast here in the UK it is known as the Juraasic Coast as many fossils are found here.
Take care Joanne and have a great Tuesday.

Yes! I would reclone my cat Dog. I've never had a cat like him, and never will again.

Happy birthday to Faux. LOVE the coffee wisdom, my drug of choice.

Even though I still love dearly and think about the cats I've had in my life....probably no...having to go through the heartache of losing them all over again would be too much to bear.....just a thought...one way of looking at it.

And I adore my two furry mates who are both 18 years old...we are the Three Musketeers! :)

What made those pets special were their individual personalities and I doubt they can clone that.

I am not a friend of clones, so many animals need our love and care. Calendar wisdom? Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a present. Hugs, Valerie

Happy birthday to your cat. I wish I knew when my cat's birthday is :)

It is an eerie thought cloning a pet almost like bringing it back to life. No thanks.

Happy birthday, Faux! Would I want to clone my pets to have them back, yes. But then there are so many waiting for a home.in shelters, so I would want to offer those in need a home first.

No creo que clonara a mi mascota. Hay tantos animales que necesitan un hogar. Te mando un beso

But the clone would only look like your beloved pet. It wouldn’t act the same.

I truly loved all my pets. I don't think I would clone them. Awww, happy 19th Faux!! Love your calendar! Big Hugs!

I am glad if they can clone animals at severe risk of extinction because this will mean they will have a fighting chance. Now if we could just take the poachers and others who want to hunt big game and place them on an island somewhere and they will be hunted. I would be tempted to have my Katie back or my childhood dog, Fox but that’s when we play with fire. They had their life and were greatly loved so now I need to help another doggie or pussy cat by giving them a home.

They've cloned a lot of animals. An endangered species--hmm....

I understand.
Hope your day is glorious and your body is being kind to you.

They are special, aren't they, HG:)

Agreed on so many animals needing care and love.
Fun calendar history:)
Hugs received and returned.

Thanks for Faux's Bday wishes.
Finding fossils on the coast sounds like all kinds of fun.
You take care too, Yvonne.

Sandra Cox said...

I hear ya on that.
Thanks, Stacy.
Big hugs received and returned.

There are some pets that just burrow into our hearts and stay there. Sounds like Dog was one of them.

Sandra Cox said...

That is certainly something to think about.
Two eighteen year olds...you're a good kitty mom.

Sandra Cox said...

Good point, Alex.

Sandra Cox said...

It's tempting, for sure.

Sandra Cox said...

When we get rescues and don't know how old they are, the vet looks at their teeth and makes an arbitrary bday.

Sandra Cox said...

As long as they don't go all dinosaur on us:)

Sandra Cox said...

I'm not sure I'd do it,but I find it fascinating.

Sandra Cox said...

I pretty much feel the same way, Denise:)

Hmm, I like the idea of cloning endangered species. We should try to reverse what we've done to them if we can. I wouldn't bother to clone any of my pets. Even though they would look identical, it wouldn't really be them. And you make a good point about so many pets in shelters needing homes.

Sandra Cox said...

Agreed, though it would be tempting:)
I'll sned you a hug:)

Sandra Cox said...

I like that you are taking the time to think it.
Thanks for Faux's well wishes and for stopping by.

Sandra Cox said...

No it wouldn't be the same, but I can't help wondering if some of the characteristics would come through.

Sandra Cox said...

You are a wise woman, Birgit:)

Thanks, Jan:)
