It's Tuesday

Greetings Blogger Buds. It's Tuesday

Was your Easter joyous? I'm trusting that it was.

We got to see the Grands after a long absence. Saturday we went to see RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON.   It was a fun movie. The only thing I had problems with was adjusting to the dragons looking like big stuffed animals. Though, I imagine kids loved it. This was the first time we were in a theater in over a year. I was curious, and a little concerned as to how the social distancing aspect would be handled.  I need not have worried. Everyone on the inside wore a mask and you electronically picked out your seats. There were less than twenty of us in the theater showing Raya so it was no problem at all.

Sunday we had an Easter  Egg hunt. I got lazy and got the prepackaged eggs that had stickers and candy in them. Note to self. Next year fill the eggs myself.

We got home Sunday and the HH and I exchanged Easter Baskets. Something we've been doing for over forty years. Yes, I'm old as dirt. His baskets are always much better than mine. In fact, I think filling the Easter eggs next year is going to be shifted to his job description. Anyhoo, this year he added a mystery bunny to the basket. Neither one of us know what the clear goop inside of it is. He thinks it's a bath gel but I'm not willing to risk an unknown in my bath water. Anyone care to take a guess as to what's lurking inside this particular Easter egg bunny?

Also in the basket...

Isn't this sanitizer a hoot?

AND have you saved your kids' favorite T's? I saved them for years with the idea of having quilts made. Thanks to my son turning me on to Repat I finally got them done. I was pleased with the results and the prices were reasonable. .

AND April's calendars.

What about you, buds. Have a great Easter? Was the Easter bunny good to you? Have you seen Raya? Made quilts from old T Shirts? Turned the calendar?:)

LOVE that sign. And I am very, very glad that your Easter was good. Better than good. Seeing the grands and a movie and treats...

I've noticed lots of people are watching Raya, yeah. 🙂 Oh, and Easter looks wonderful! 💙

I suppose it is bath gel. When you have a bath, open it and try a little in the wash basin first.
The mug is cute.
The last sign is very good, something we should all think about.

So glad you had a great Easter.
I'm still hesitant about going to the movies, though I miss doing it :)

I've found the theaters to be quite empty with no problem distancing. Didn't catch that movie. Something about it didn't appeal and maybe it was the look of the dragons.
My guess - the egg has that goop in it kids play with.

Exchanging Easter baskets with your honey made me smile. The bunny egg. Could it be filled with the slime kids play with? If it didn't come from a bath and bodyworks shop, I wouldn't put it in the bath. No labels on the bottom? The bunny on your mug looks like Brindle who lives in my backyard. Enjoy your day!

Hi Sandra - we're not let out yet ... it's loosening, but not free to roam our little world. Yes thank you I got to see my brother and his wife ... and we had a Sunday lunch ... a lovely change. I wouldn't open that egg - I'd be far too anxious about the gunk I'd need to clear up!! Glad you had fun though ... and that mug is delightful ... cheers Hilary

The t-shirt idea is a good one but I could just hear my mom’s reaction....she would think it silly. Too old, grass stained, washed out etc...I love that tradition you have with your husband...that is so sweet. As for the bunny...bubble bath. I would open it and try it in a sink just to see. It looks like you had a lovely Easter and you even saw a movie! We are back in lockdown...we’ll, semi-lockdown. Retail stores can be open with limited amount of people but movie theatres, hair salons, gyms and restaurants are closed. We had a nice Easter...quite but very nice.

What an absolutely fabulous post. Loved every word and photo you shared. So glad you got to see the grands and you got out and even went to a movie. I love the sanitizer and the adorable bunny mug. Your HH does Easter quite well.

My suggestion on the mystery bunny: place a small amount in a glass bowl and see what it does. Add water. Smell it, maybe run a spoon through it. Hope that will give you peace of mind OR NOT (grin).

I have a friend who made one of those T shirt quilts. She bought all the plastic templates and everything. It was quite the undertaking, so getting a good deal on a purchased one (your own tees, of course) was worth it.

What a fun, fun post! I'm so glad you got to see your grands and enjoy your time with them. We did an egg hunt too and isn't it fun? Yours are just darling!

I think I need to remind Rick (to whom I give a basket, of course) that some people I know who are not him or children also receive on! I suspect the best part of the mystery bunny will be trying to figure out what it is!

I ate too much chocolate! LOL!
Love the picture of the Grands! The movie looks cute, but I haven't seen it. I wonder what is blue bunny? LOL! I love your mug and hand sanitizer!!! That quilt is amazing! I would love to do that! I love your calendar and the quote!!! Big Hugs!

The grandchildren are adorable! What fun you must have had with them, and they with you. Our Easter weather was perfect. A friend came over to dine with me. The conversation was great.

Love,
Janie

It appears like you had a very enjoyable Easter, Sandra.

It is years since I've been in a movie theatre...I prefer to watch movies here within the privacy of my own four walls.

The last movie I saw at a theatre was Johnny Depp in the 2010 "Alice in Wonderland"...so I guess it's coming up 11 years since I sat in a theatre. That situation isn't likely to change. :)

It's just the way I am. The various Covid lock-downs and rules really have affected my day to day lifestyle. Nothing has really changed for me, as I always keep to myself...being the hermit that I am...by choice. :)

It was a fun movie. I'd recommend it.
Thanks. Hope yours was HG.

Good idea.
Thanks. It's a perky mug:)
I completely agree on the sign.
Take special care.

Sandra Cox said...

I did. Thanks:)
The quilts were fun. A walk down memory lane;)
Hugs received and returned.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Yvonne:) Hope you did.

Sandra Cox said...

I did. Hope you did as well, Jacqui:)

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Jamie;)
I completely understand. I wouldn't have felt comfortable going if we hadn't had our vaccines. I was very impressed with the precautions the theater took.

Sandra Cox said...

That was certainly the case where we went. I'm stoked to get back to going to the theater now. Just waiting for Davidson's theater to open.
The dragons definitely looked goofy to me. The kids probably loved them. The human characters were well defined and realistic.
Might indeed be goop.
Take special care.

Sandra Cox said...

Glad we made you smile:) That makes me smile:)
The HH pulled off the price tag and any info which might have been on it, with it.
Your Brindle is a cutie.
Thanks, CJ. Hope you enjoy yours.

So glad you got to spend Easter with your bro and SIL. Wondrous.

I did have a great Easter. Hope you did too, Christine.

I love the quilts. It's all about memories.
Better to err on the side of caution where Covid is concerned.
I'm glad you had a nice Easter:)

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Elizabeth. Glad you enjoyed the post.
Getting some great suggestions for the mystery bunny:)
If your friend was interested--which she may not be--and got the word out, I bet she could turn the T shirt quilt-making into a business.

Sandra Cox said...

It looks like your egg hunt was all kinds of fun. You did better than I in that department. The pre-filled, though time saving, weren't anything to get excited about.

Sandra Cox said...

I hear ya on the chocolate. I'm afraid I'm still eating too much:)
Thanks:)
Big hugs received and returned.

Sandra Cox said...

Thank you:)
Sending you a hug.

Sandra Cox said...

Thank you, Janie:)
So glad you had a good Easter.

Sandra Cox said...

I did. Thanks. Hope you did as well.
I hear ya. Between myself and the HH, I'm the mole.

Pat Hatt said...

haha you mean you didn't fill the eggs with money? geez. So cheap lol

Sandra Cox said...

Actually...:) We put a couple of big eggs with money in the mix. One of the eggs was a gold egg. Heh.

So pleased you got to see the Grands, lovely photographs.

Our Covid regulations have eased a little and we were allowed to meet up with four other people in the garden, two of those were the two youngest grandchildren ... so lovely and so special to actually see them in person and not through the internet.

Take care, my good wishes.

All the best Jan
