Did You Know

Did you know that after water, tea is the most consumed beverage around the globe?

I knew it was at one time, but I thought coffee had made big inroads, especially in the states. I can see how it might be on a global scale, though.

I did. And tea (or chai) is my warm beverage of choice.

One I did know. The margin isn't small either.

Considering how much they drink it in the Orient, not surprising.

I would have thought it would have been coffee but didn’t think of Asia or Britain.

I enjoy tea (hot or iced), but I need coffee in the morning. It doesn't surprise me that it's the most consumed beverage, though.

I agree. Coffee has made huge inroads, especially in the U.S.

If it was broken down by country, I imagine it would be different.

Not in my household. For the first time in a few months I had a mug of tea yesterday...lemon-ginger tea.

Really? I would have thought it would be coffee, but then again it does make sense, considering how tea plays an important role in some cultures, like in England or in Japan.
