Google/blogspot is so cranky. It all depends on what browser I use. One browser I can comment as myself. The other, even on my own site, I'm anonymous. Ack.
Somebody was thinking. Maybe the wife said to the furniture maker: Dear, I don't have a place to set with my wide skirt, would you make me a larger chair? :) Hugs

I did. Those skirts would have been a complete menace to wear.
Maybe large rear ends too.
I can believe it ... but didn't know - amazing how fashion shapes us. Cheers Hilary
I didn't know that, but it makes sense. Good to know for when I wear my hoop skirts. Lol

That is amazing.
Didn't know that
You mean during the Scarlet O'Hara days when they gad hula hoops for those skirts? Interesting and here I thought those loveseats were for dogs
That's a great bit of trivia. I had no idea!
By the way, yesterday your site wouldn't let me comment as me. I was "anonymous" or nothing. Glad it's working today.
Good idea!
First I've heard that

Those poor women had to have a place to sit. Though, they could have taken up the whole sofa and let everyone else stand. Hehe.
