It's Ketch-up Day

 Greetings, Blogger Buds,

Did you have wondrous holidays?

Ours was great with one notable hitch. The daughter and SIL arrived the 24th as planned. Our son and family came in the 25th for a few hours. My bro and SIL arrived the 26th AND my sister had tickets through Southwest.  No more needs to be said. At least for those of you in the states.  If you live outside the states Southwest had mass cancellations over the holidays because of weather and their scheduling software. It was a mess of major proportions.

AND

We are fostering.  Meet Shrek (tabby) and Fiona  (the black and white). They're ferals. Our job is to get them socialized so they can get their forever homes. So far, they're still in hiding.

AND

Besides my wonderful calendar from Denise.

The HH got me a coffee calendar, which always makes me grin.

AND

A card from CJ with the envelope done in her amazing calligraphy.

What about you blogger buds? Tell us about your holidays.

Love your foster babes - and your gifts which couldn't have gone to a nicer person.

The cats are gorgeous, I hope it goes well. We had our cat for 18 years, and he was social for the last four or so 🤣

I hope everyone got where they wanted to be over Christmas.

Southwest is all messed up. Sadly, if this bankrupts them, our government will bail them out.
Keep working on Shrek and Fiona.

The kitties are adorable.

We used to fly SW all the time when we lived in NM. Never again though.

South west had such a GREAT reputation until the end. Now they may NEVER recover. Sorry your sister didn't make it for Christmas.

Nice to be fosters. I hope Shrek and Fiona can be helped. At least they are together, which may comfort them until they learn that humans are not their enemies.

You got some lovely gifts for Christmas. I LOVE that coffee calendar. Caffeine is my drug of choice!

Happy belated New Year, dear.

Southwest seems to be a mess a lot lately.

I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas. The gifts and the kittens are adorable.

Beautiful calendars!

It sounds like you had a lovely Christmas and your brother is well which is great. Here, people were left stranded for days, lost luggage and treatment was not very nice. I heard Air Canada and West jet were voted the worst for delays on the airline Industry.
My Christmas was quiet and very nice. I still have most of it up. Unfortunately my friends, brothers, were in a car accident and fractured their back and the one his sternum but they are alive and now need physio. The one will be in the hospital for a while qhile the other is at hos sister's place. Their mom is not in good shape so trying to see her but she is being resistant. Anyway, happy New Year and so glad you received some Beautiful gifts.

Hi Sandra - so glad at least some of the visits and travelling worked out ... life isn't easy for so many at the moment ... also you had a happy time. Good luck with Shrek and Fiona - they'll venture forth soon enough - I hope not 18 years later, as Annalisa's mentions hers did?! Love the calendars - great fun ... clever HH - cheers Hilary

I, too, hope all goes well with the cats. The poetry calendar looks fun.

The cats will come out of hiding eventually and I have high hopes that they'll warm up to you. My holiday was pleasant and quiet. It's sad that "Southwest" now means something dire and disorganized.

Love,
Janie

Annalisa, You aren't exactly inspiring me with confidence. Heh.
Alex, Messed up for sure. Will do:)
Thanks, Val. You too. Hugs
Natalie, We did enjoy the family gathering. Sadly the sis did not make it in.
Hi Di, I wouldn't be in a big hurry to fly with them either.
Thanks, CJ:)

I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas, Sandra, but I'm guessing that your sister didn't make it, or got stuck somewhere. Southwest was a disaster! I used to fly them a lot but will be thinking twice next time. I'm so sorry that she had to go through that. Thanks for the pics, and of course, have fun with your fosters. We did that last year and it was rewarding to send the little ones off prepared for good homes. Happy New Year!

Southwest absolutely destroyed itself

WE flew Southwest way back in 1985. It was a "milk run" We stopped at every airport in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and New Orleans. Hard to do when traveling with three children. SW served no food, just snacks.

Thanks, Elizabeth S. Southwest is going to have an uphill battle for sure. Coffee is my drug of choice too. The coffee calendar makes me laugh:) I trust the kitties will come around too. Happy New Year:)
Elizabeth, They're a hot mess for sure. Thanks, Elizabeth and congrats on your exciting news.
Thanks, Christine.
Birgit, I'm so glad you had good holidays and so sorry to hear about your friends. That's tough. Yes, we are very relieved the bro is doing so well.
Thanks, Hils. Our holidays were good. I trust the kitties venture out before the end of 18 years. Heh.
Thanks, Jamie. I'll keep everyone posted. I love my poetry calendar too:) It's amazing.
Janie, I'm glad you had good holidays. Yes, they'll come out at some point.
