How was your weekend and Monday?
The HH has been having back issues so I have been working on the leaves...forever. Next year I'm hiring it done.
My little daffies are so confused. January is way too early to be trying to bloom.
My daughter recommended making stock from cheese rind for my bean soup. She also suggested tossing in some carrots and rosemary. I followed her instructions. The results were yum.😊
It's baby steps with the kittens. They will come out when I'm around now, if I don't make any sudden moves. I still can't touch them, which they need. Hopefully soon.
This is the Christmas gift we got from my sister. She made one for each of the sibs. Pretty cool, huh?

What about you, blogger buds. Got leaves(Cough. Cough. Choke. Choke.) ? Daffies that are blooming too early? Wild child kittens? A purrfect Christmas gift? A great spot to walk?

Leaves are staying on trees here. Sadly lots of kitten issues (see my Sunday Selections post). Love that gift.
Nice Christmas gift from your sister. I mulch my leaves, Sandra. I run my mower over them and they decay into the ground over winter. In spring I have free mulch that is already in place.
I hope the kitties learn to accept you soon. How is Frank taking/accepting them?
It is ages since your fall yet you still have so many fallen leaves. They haven't decomposed yet.
I always wonder what happens to plants that grow or bloom at the wrong time of the year. Do they see sense and power down to put on a display at the right time.
I am not sure I want to try your soup but I take you yum word for it.
It does seem to take some months to build a relationship with cats who weren't 'peopolised' at a young age.
Is CO Colorado? What creatures are they?
You need to add a mulcher to your lawnmower! No More Raking Leaves! It mulches the leaves back into the lawn which is wonderful for the grass!

I've started hiring out raking up my leaves too. It's too much for me. The kitties are so cute.
The best thing you can do is hire someone to do the yardwork. The kitties are adorable. Have you tried sitting still on the floor to see if they come over to investigate you?
The only one on your list that I have is a front yard filled with leaves. I've been cleaning them up slowly. It helps to run the lawnmower over them. Then I have little pieces of leaves in the mower's bag. In the backyard I pile up the leaves and let them turn into dirt.

Great work with the kittens! It takes a patient human to tame a wild cat.
We have pine needles instead of leaves. I haven't even started on them yet. It's still winter here, though I won't be shocked to see daffodils. It seems like them and my tulips always want to start growing too early. Eager little things!

That last picture is so calming to me. I love the kittens and I know they will get the love they need from you. I love what your sister created. Love the colours. You do have a ton of leaves! My hubby does all of that since I'm Useless as a boar's title as my dad used to say. I did a good job on my tendons in my arms. My left feels much better from last week. My friends are getting slowly better but it will ve a long haul. The one brother wad told his one vertebrae burst! That does not sound good. I was able to wash his hair last night. Our Kaspar, a tuxedo had the zooming last night..just bouncing around... it was funny. I hope you get a grand say!
Are the kittens getting on well with the home team? They're awfully cute! Leaves gone for the year, fortunately. I feel your pain. Literally.

EC, I am so sorry to hear about all the health issues in your household. Poor kitty babies.
Elizabeth, I love the idea and tried it this fall, but our leaves are an odd size, they're smallish and the lawn mower doesn't mulch them up, either that or they are so embedded in the ground, the lawn mower runs right over them. Odd, I know. Sigh.
