How are you?
On this end we are unsettled. Once again, cancer has raised its vicious head with the youngest grand. Hence my hiatus, awhile back. I needed some mental health days. So, if I'm not here on a normal posting day (and I miss my fair share of Tuesdays:) or if I'm slower than usual at replying to comments, please bear with me.
Now on to more happy news. My SIL and BIL stopped in for a brief visit. It was great seeing them. It had been awhile.

This is a sweet potato a friend of ours grew. Isn't it a hoot? It weighed over six pounds. Birthing size! He planted six plants and ended up with over a hundred pounds of sweet potatoes. I don't know what his secret is:)

I've never seen a moth quite like this one. It has a horn on its back. David, do you know what it is?
Don't you love walking sticks?
That's it for now. Have a great one, friends. Let us know what you've been up to.

I'm so very sorry about the youngest grand and send fervent hopes and good wishes for recovery. That sweet potato is gigantic. You should find out the secret to his sweet potato success.
Love,
Janie
Prayers for your grand! Evil when it attacks young ones.
Sorry to hear that your grandson has cancer. That dreaded disease really is the sharp edge on the scythe of the Grim Reaper, blunted somewhat these days but still rapacious. I hope he recovers fully. There’s not quite enough detail on the moth to identify it, Sandra, at least not for me. Best wishes - David
Forgot to add that the last picture is a Praying Mantis.
Great photos, and cool to see a bear climbing a tree. Nowhere is safe.
Sorry to read your grandson's cancer has returned. So sad when it happens when they are so young. What an enormous sweet potato. WOW. Loved seeing photos from around the country.
I'm so very sorry that your grandson's cancer has returned. I hope he fully recovers. Wow, that's a huge sweet potato. I wonder how long it'd take to bake.
Oh no…I, so sorry to hear about your grandson but I hope they caught the cancer early. My friend is going through a most difficult separation. She was trying her best to avoid confrontation but her ex is bonkers! Too much to talk about but Sunday, she called me terrified. He cornered her, yelling at her , calling her every name under the book and spit on her! It was terrifying to hear so I called the police. I went over there and it was so nasty. He is a narcissistic, feeling avoidant moron who suffers from depression and has major anger management issues. Think of all the nasty words one can express to a woman and he did that. He looked at me and called me a nasty old bitch and I will be charged with trespassing if I come onto “his” home. The cops quickly told him it is a matrimonial home and if my friend wants me there, I can be there. They have 2 daughters, 18 and 17 who want to be out of there. It’s horrible and I fear for her..I. Scared he may rape her to be honest. I. Trying to get her to leave but she is stubborn. So, that’s what’s happening with me plus my pain is horrible..yippee. Now on a brighter note, love your pictures and the last one is a prying mantis. She knows what to do…after mating, she kills and eats him.
Prayers for your grabdchild
Sorry to hear about your youngest grand. Sending healing thoughts. Wow! A 6 lb. sweet potato! He needs to tell his secret to Himself. Beautiful pictures of the Smoky Mountains. I love the bear and cubs (forest puppies!) Wishing you peaceful days
