Hi Sandra - I'd heard of circumlocution ... but haven't used the word ... I'm not short of words and just happily prattle away! While the wandering plant sounds fun ... cheers Hilary
While I didn't know about the plant, I do about circumlocution. I would say that person is talking a load of ****.
I stood watching the Telegraph Plant and was taken with its dancing leaves. I couldn’t help but think of the Washington cabal where dancing and circumlocution have become a fine art, the practice du jour, the bafflegab of the unworthy, the incoherent gobbledegook of deceivers, liars and charlatans. But wait, we elected them didn’t we? Perhaps it’s our leaves that are dancing a little too much! Something to think about…..
I am stumped--once again. Thanks for sharing even more interesting stuff.
Interesting word
Your example is SO true!
Thanks for sharing this interesting fact!
Hi Hils, I'm a prattler too. Unfortunately, often times the word I'm looking for is just out of reach and I have to pick from the the second string:)
Hi Andrew, I doubt if that definition is in the dictionary (grin). But I don't disagree:) Good job.
You are the Wordsmith! Good job!

My pleasure, Jamie:) What I pass on is what has usually stumped me;)

Plants are amazing, aren't they, J.P.? Sending you hugs.
Jan, Plant life is fascinating, isn't it? Thanks for the midweek wishes. Cheers,
