Writerly Wednesday AND Did You Know Thursday

 What's your sentence, synonym or example for:

 

Example: A lit candle placed in an orange represents Jesus as light of the world and is called Christingle.

AND 

Did you know,  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was launched by the Montgomery Ward Department Store as a  promotional pamphlet for children in 1939?

I wonder if anyone told Santa?

I did not know of Christingle. Spell check is quite happy with the word. Nor did I know about Rudolph, but I'm not surprised.

Hi Sandra - Christingle has been around here recently ... but I didn't know its origins - and certainly wasn't in my day (long long ago)!! ... also re Rudoph - cheers Hilary
