Ketch-Up Day

How are you? How's your weather? We are in the middle of a drought.  I mowed Sunday. Pollen was flying like dust.  Of course, I didn't think about wearing a mask till after I started hacking:) We desperately need rain. For those of you who are getting too much wet stuff, feel free to send it our way:)

AND

Pics from the Eternal Garden.

The blackberry bush. (See the pollen hanging on it?)

Pollen on the pavers and more in the grass.

The amaryllis and more pollen. Tired of hearing me whine about the pollen yet?;)

AND

This is so weird.....My onions started sprouting in the pantry.

AND

The HH is in a poetry writing challenge this month and here is one he wrote yesterday:

When Words Appear

     Despite plausible theories,

     No one can really say

     Exactly how words

     Become available

     Just when they are needed,

Nor why they hide so carefully

     In the tall grass

     Of our minds

     Creating a thicket of frustration

     When they don’t.

     There’s such a slim margin

     Between just OK words

     And the magnificence

    Of putting the correct words

     In their places.

That's it for now, Blogger Buds. Been doing anything fun and exciting?

Yesterday, the high temperature here was 3.5 degrees C. Not quite pollen weather!

We've been having plenty of rain here. My lawn was mowed for the first time this season yesterday. Spring is finally here!

The drought is making your garden beautiful, Sandra. I love the kitty but feel you with the pollen. Its been bad here too, although we are getting some rain to wash it away right now. I plant the onions when they do that :) love the poem and fingers crossed for the contest! Words do hide from us...lol. xo

Thanks, Linda. Glad you like them:)

Hi David, Glad you're not dealing with pollen. We got the pollen and then the temp dropped back down in the 40s and 50s. Crazy weather, innit?

Love all the pretty flowers. I have been participating in a poem a day as well. I can relate to searching for the right word. There is magic of magnificence when it all comes together. I have tried working with some forms to help when the mind is lost in the meadow of words.

Pollen has arrived here as well and my allergies are saying no, no, no

Even with the drought your garden is gorgeous. Boop your nose, Maise. Hubby's poem is wonderful

Hey Denise, Glad you like the garden.
Keep doing that rain dance:) Loved that thunderstorm vid on your post. If we get enough rain, I'll take the onions out of the compost and plant them:)
Words hide from us for sure:) xo

Hi True, Glad you enjoyed the flowers.
Good on you for participating in the poem-a-day. And yes there is a magic of magnificence when it comes together.
Pollen: Ack. Ack. Ack.

I'd love to send some rain your way. Actually, on Sunday we had some wet snow before it changed to rain. On Monday, there was a light dusting if snow...ughhh. its creating bad pain for the last 3 Weeks. It sucks especially when my ribs hurt and my jaw. I am super tired. On the upswing, hubby and I ventured to a DVD store and bought some great movies and TV shows like 6 Feet Under.

Our weather has turned sunny and warmish (60s) and what a relief it is. All our last week's rain has really made things pop! HH has some talent!

Sandra Cox said...

Birgit, Glad you had a fun outing but sorry you're in pain.
We'd love to take that extra rain off your hands.
